An Idea for the board...RV Rap Reality "show"...hmmmmm
What would you all think about RV hosting a reality "show" ala American Idol, with a twist.
Take 5 of the "worst" emcees on this site and put them through a hip hop "boot camp". The object would be to see which one makes the greatest improvement in a certain period of time, say 2 weeks. They'd start by posting tracks as they are currently. Then, 2-3 "drill sergeants" would give them challenges and assignments to help them improve over two weeks. Then, during the finale, each of the 5 emcees would drop a track and the people of RV would vote to see which made the greatest gains. And, to prove that I'm a good sport, I'd even volunteer myself as one of the 5 emcees. The "drill sergeants" could be someone like Lady Fiyah, DOoms, Triple, Nos, or someone who is "experienced" here. holla back 1 |

Oops sorry I read it all now. It'll work. The teacher's you listed would work fine if they didn't come on only when the moons aligned. Except nos.(meaning he's active)

The people being given tips for elevating would have to be compleatly serious about what their doing and actually be able to take in everything I said and put it into practice.. I would be teaching things on how to build a style that would be mass accepted but still dope.. And I would need the people to be 100% motivated and inspirational about their rap.. I dont wanna teach no social reject retard that has no hope of ever being good at rap anyway... |

this should be interesting...I'd do it but I don't feel anyone can help me elevate beyond where I am, I just need better sound quality, the rest is up to me myself cuz someone else can only help you so much...
but I will say that the 1st thing anyone needs to work on is flow, anyone that tels you otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about :)... |

there should be outside judges besides the people mentouring the contestants...and a mentor can have more than one person, so you can leave the mentour numbers the same if you like, give 'em like 2 each...
if you do that, then the 1st round, you could eliminate one contestant from each mentour's 2, and THEN make it an overall elimination... give it 1 week per track to give people time to work, practice, record and mix...doing everything over a 2 week point is pointless cuz they won't elevate in that short of a time... |
