Suit yourself...

If your gonna make music you need to have firm groundings in what you represent and the style of music you want to base your image in.

Dont ask other people whats hot, find something that suits you and MAKE the shit hot..

.....Being a hip hop head you should be able to type names of artist's who's beats you like into a p2p program.. Thats why this thread is pointless....

Spektikul 10-21-05 12:55 PM

Hot...

Dont use instrumentals from artists that you know because you will then start to take on their sound/style without even knowing.

Gotta be either original and get someone to make beats for you, or use instruments in which youve never heard the lyrics.

...that way you get find what style suits you best.

Man I got my own damn style...

I can do tracks on beats I've heard the song to 100% origional and at times better than the beats owners. Weak cunts get influenced easily like that, be your own unique rapper with your own sound & image & that shit wont happen.

"Tried by 12" by the East Flatbush Project is one of my all-time favorite beats to freestyle to. It's pretty rare though, so if you ever get AIM I could probably hook you up with it.

JRoy 10-21-05 10:31 PM

I 100% agree with this. I've been DL'n instrumentals for a while now, and I been using Juelz Santana style a lot. It's kinda crazy though, cause I try not to, but I listen to his music alot. And another thing I'ma add as a suggestion, try not to listen to too much of other rappers shit, once you start really making tracks, listen to your stuff more, so you can point out your own flaws and get better at them. Also if you listen to yourself more, you cant take on someone else's style. Just try not to listen to too much of one person.
