RV Rap Idol: Final Round





The Challenge:

I feel that a big part of being a rapper or performer is versatility. I also believe that knowing your opponent is a crucial key to beating them. With that said, the final challenge is to create a song and mimic the style of your opponent.

Rules & Stipulations

1. You must choose a song title your opponent already posted and rapped on.
2. You must use the same beat as your opponent for that song.
3. You MAY alter the lyrics from the original song your opponent posted.
4. Track must be at least 2:30, no longer than 4:00 minutes
5. Due: Saturday, November 12th, 2005 by 11:59 p.m. EST

**The goal is to use your versatility to "take on the skin" of your opponent and rap like him. The winner of this challenge, and hence the winner of Rv Rap Idol, will create a song that displays his creativity and ability to be chameleon-like on the mic.


**ALL of RV is welcome to vote on this when the thread is posted on Sunday the 13th. May the best emcee win.

sorry Q...but i dont agree with this challenge considering Pop Lotty has no soundclick..and like...2 songs......i have absolutely nothing to work with...while he has 32234897 songs to work with...this needs to be changed.........i wouldnt care if i had a legitimate amount of things to work with...but this is a lopsided challenge

Nah, it's not about biting styles. it's about being versatile. And what bigger challenge to versatility than to rap like your opponent. We all shape our styles my imaging one and moulding our self into it.

^ ranks doesnt have a "style".....of course...me...im easy to immitate...say you have zits a couple times, say your a nerd, say your a geek, say you have glasses...immitate eminem.....and your set........wtf pop lotty doesnt even post songs...the kid has like 3 songs.....how the hell do i work with that...i honestly think this should be changed to something thats equal to bother competitors instead of something where he has tons more to work from than what i do.....its the fucking championship....it should be fair game...this whole competition has been about elevating you...and elevating your style...why in the world would that change in the championship......???

i can have a good delivery...good flow....good presence....

he can have an ok flow...shitty delivery..and ok presence...

and still win cause he would immitate one of my songs better?

aiyo Ike...this challenge is doing exactly what it was meant to do...push you to the limit...If you are so talented IKE, you can easily mimic and alter your voice/flow/delivery to mirror your opponents...THat's the challenge...Now, either A.) QUIT BITCHIN and do it or B.) FORFEIT and hand Ranks the Title


I will say this. If I were you, I'd think outside the box when it comes to obtaining tracks.
