I just read an interesting article on Yahoo talking about how the trend in hip hop is to not snitch on someone commiting a crime. Duh we've all know that snitches aren't the most popular cats. But take this into consideration say you see a murder and the person who commits the murder is someone you know. Not a friend, but someone you know. Nobody wants to come forward and peg this guy for the murder do you tell? Because the flip side of it is that same guy who was murdered has a family and they want justice, but nobody will come forward. Do you come forward and become a snitch or lay quite and deny his family justice? Your thoughts? Oh and hears the article if you wanna read it.

PS- People not standing up is the reason Pac and Biggie's murders go unsolved, something to ponder.

I just wouldn't witness the murder. Yeah, I know that it can occur at any random moment when you're not expecting. But seeing it can be avoided easily.

How do you avoid seeing a random murder?

^word...but Me personaly..i dont give a fuck..I'll be a snitch if its the right thing to do..fuck what otha niggas n broads say. if i witness something happen ..and they got family behind them that want justice then i'll do that..im not selfish. now if i know somebody sellin drugs and cops lookin for them..then no..But when there is a life involved i'll be a snitch.

For real that's about how i feel, if a life was involved Im going to be me, fuck the dumb shit, call me a snitch if you want. As far as other bullshit crimes like drugs, and robberies and shit I have who gives a fuck. I'd tell them to beat it.

No, it's not instinct. I know quite a few people who, if they saw someone about to KILL somebody, would divert their attention for the sole fact that they don't want to see it.

That's the thing, coming foward is why the biggie and pac cases are NOT solved because witnesses got merked. That's the entire point. Why snitch? You're gonna die. Period. I know first hand how it works. Lets say someoen snitched on me for something and I got a court date, the paperwork and the discovery is gonna say who ratted against me, therefore, I know now that I can reach them, they get murdered before trial and boom, no more witness. Case = goodnight. On the other side, if you cna't reach the witness, you kill their loved ones. They won't testify regardless now. These are the sufferings of a rat, and it always will be.

well i feel as if they gone kill me then they better do that because if i know they killed someone and that person has family then im telling...because if i dont tell i'd feel selfish and it'd mean i value the street life more than my own family because i'd have to put myself in they shoes and how i would want to know who killed someone in my fam to put them away..so..they better do what the do while im alive to keep my mouth shut lol.

hat usually happens after trial, and dosen't happen over some trivial murder. The cops don't give a shit about the snitch. That should be obvious. Years in prison is nothing but numbers on a paper to the 'system'. rats in the 'game' get the least amount of mercy since you should have already come to terms with going to jail before you did what ever it was that was illegal. No, the whole point is about honor. Being a witness is one thing, but "Snitches" is talking about people on the inside. The dude siting right next to you on the drug sale, your boy turned against you. That's a Snitch. Your'e talking about some other bullshit which is a whole different principal intirely, which is just a "witness".

The fact that you laid up and was close when things were good, then dropped the dime when the cops put some years on you makes you a rat. You knew what you were doing illegally involved time, but yet sold your boy up the river to get less time off your own sentence. And for what? You'll either get killed in jail, or killed on the outside, either of them direct results of being a selfish greedy lying snake ass rat motherfucker.
