poetry.com is a fake place, so don't piss your pants when you get the letter everyone gets inviting you to get the Silver Bowl award and attend a meeting in Pennsylvania or somewhere else. Google up poetry.com and check out the shit there, I was susceptible enough to buy a fucking anthology and NEVER EVEN GOT IT. What a load of crock, at least you can massage your ego with the acceptance letter full of inane flattery.

Good luck on the sure letter, find some legitimate local competitions, or at least a comp with a fee because there is a good chance it'd be real then.

And if you've been through hard times, that'll really piss you off.

Word. Tha Q (and mostly me) saved you from pissing off more money. Find another legitimate contest, and investigate it before they steal your poem.

Poetry.com hhmm... i went there once.

Also, it goes under other domain names. You can figure out what's what because they'll have similiar contest winnings and the same application to submit your poem.

Its a competition run in some ladies memory and its run by some people at some university in california.. $10 entry fee...

Unless your outside the states, then its free cause they "recognise the difficulty of exchanging currancys"........
