Aiyo...nebody else hear about Freddy v Jason 2...guess who else

is supposed to be thrown into the mix

Yep...MICHAEL MYERS from Halloween

I hope it isn't just rumors!

Indeph 11-23-05 11:30 PM

Damn thats dope. I dunno how they're gonna make it make sense though.

"Michael myers just happen to be jasons 3rd cousin and lived across the street the whole time. And freddy;s head got cut off, but he was still alive cause the source of his power is in his hat. But the hat was cut a little by the machette and a peice of the hat is stuck in his head. etc"

ya'll act like horror flicks are even good these days, the 1st oen sucked

shit's not even scary, they're just so stupid and cliche' that it's funny

Mad Dog 11-24-05 04:59 AM

god damn

Jason & Michael = same guy

notice...both wear masks...

both superhuman strength

both go no faster than walking pace

both have hand held stabbing weapons (Jasons is bigger though)

both unkillable...

they'll team up i reckon

leady 11-24-05 05:08 AM

horrors nowadays have lost their credibility...

but we're older we understand them better...imagine being a 6 year old and watching a film about someone coming to kill you in ya dreams...

leady 11-24-05 05:26 AM

yeah as a kid freddy was scary, but the reason it was scary cos it put the feeling of nightmares becoming reality into you, say freddy kruger was not released untill now, but made with todays special effects e.t.c to look more realistic, it would even be scary for aldults, cos it takes that urban legend of nightmares becoming reality unless you wake up, and it puts into reality and your brain without you knowing registers this and actually starts to make you feel like it could happen to you, thats what real horrow is.

its not about scaring people with big monsters e.t.c... its about putting the thought of the imagination into a picture and making it reality, you ever watched a horrow and walked away thinking, damn what if that shit hapens to me??? thats when you know youve watched a good horror film.

werd only films that give me a lotta after thought is zombie movies...coz you never know biological warfare could produce something like that or an experimental virus...

but other than that i like paranormal movies like white noise & excorsist and horrors based on true stories...like amityville horror...

leady 11-24-05 05:50 AM

amityville horror is a prime example, it puts something that could possibly happen into a real life situation when it is happening, and it puts it on your front door, and thats where the frear factor comes from "i could move to house thats haunted and face this, or worse" and thats when the sudden sounds e.t.c make you jump, cos your bodies been pumped with adrenaline and the fear factor has been put into you.

white noise, another good example, puts something so simple and something we see everyday, and turn it into a horror and a way of scaring you, and it works, because its an everyday thing and it isnt blown out of proportion too much

horror movies are slowly coming back, white noise, amityville horror, the exorcism of emily rose is brilliant, there a few others aswell, but yeah, true horror films the original classics, are your steven king ones, the stand for example, that shit is scary as fuck, it makes you think what it would be like if the world was faced with something like that, and was done in such a good way its mad, same with 28 days later.

Terumoto 11-24-05 07:38 AM

28 days later is a dope movie.

theblob 11-24-05 08:09 AM

^^28 days later sucks monkey balls!!!!!!!!!!

and Leady, I agree. Horror movies are most scary when they incorporate "reality factor" and less of the blood/gore factor most movies use nowadays to "scare" movie-goers.

What they need is for Wes Craven to direct it!

WhoAmI 11-24-05 08:29 AM

28 days later is a deep film....daymn those locations were like a 20 minute train journey from my sides.....if that shit ever did happen in real life i'd be fucked lol

freddy vs jason was below average IMO
cos for 1 thing freddy just isn't scary

all they need to do is use the same style of filmmaking that they used in Friday the 13th part 1 (more psychological with suspense), with the same intensity of the twists in the earlier Friday the 13th films, make Freddy a dark, evil character instead of his comical BS and then you'd have a sick horror film guaranteed.

and BTW

I think Candyman > Friday the 13th series AND Nightmare on Elm Street series

no way... it was a good movie. except the ending left a little to be desired, but dont all endings?

theblob 11-24-05 08:46 AM

^^Yea...most endings nowadays suck...

Here's the deal. Freddy used to be scary as hell because of his makeup and how he frightened people in their dreams. The Nightmare series started to lose its scariness when they changed Freddy's make up to look goofy rather than grotesque, and when he started being a wise-ass instead of just sadistic. Don't get me wrong, Freddy has always used humor when he killed someone, but it was too silly in the F V J movie. I also feel that if Wes Craven makes the next one, it'll be a classic.

L. Veracity 11-24-05 09:54 AM

ya'll are all repeating what I said so FUCK all of you for not creditting me :(

nah, really though if Wes Craven directed it it'd be "aiight" but it's like directing a dog with no legs to run, pointless...these days, the movies just plain SUCK, it doesn't even matter who directs 'em any more, the writing and concepts are cliche' as hell...

even "SCREAM" got boring after the 1st one, 2nd was aiight but the 3rd just blew...the 1st "Urban Legends" was nyce, the 2nd one, trash...

ya'll wanna see a movie that's "freaky" and will have you on the edge of ya seat go rent "The Butterfly Affect" shit's dope as hell...after watching that, I completely respect Ashton Kutcher in the "art" of acting cuz he did an awesome job

leady 11-24-05 11:37 AM

28 days later isnt wack, the acting was brilliant, and the way it incorporated that feeling of segregation and loneliness is mad, and the despiration to survive and find help was portrayed extremely well, the monsters or w/e they was zombies or some shit, they actually looked and sounded real rather than looking like special effects and sounding computerised, and they did with making london streets completely empty was amasing, thats next to impossible to do, london is THAT busy.... wes craven and steven ing movies are all the best for a good scare

the thought of just waking up wit metal over ya face with the power to rip ya head off is freaky lol

leady 11-24-05 12:02 PM

saw is a prime example of what im talking, any one of us could be kidnapped one day and put into a situation like that, its something that could and quite possibly will happen at some point to somebody somewhere in the world, thats a true horror
