Mother fucker

I just finished writing a one hundred and seventy bar track.............

And first time I rapped it I only stuffed up 3 times.... But I'ma fix that with practice....

I'd post the lyrics, but fuck a buncha biting netcees............The track will be on my mixtape..... Its one of the more ambitious projects I've done for this...

Anyone else into writing long ass verses? And what are your experiences in performing 100+ bar songs?

I recon this shit is gonna be reaal fucken cool once ive perfected it... I'm connecting the 10 different beats tomorrow so they change automatically and are timed maticulously to make sure I dont have to pause...

Its got too much of a wide range of subject matter, flow changes, style changes.... No snippit of it would do it justice..

You'll have to wait till I post my tape on the net in a few weeks...

Dex 11-24-05 09:05 AM

fair point there.

it would be a lot better to hear the whole thing finished anyway.

Il wait for that.

How long did it take you to write all that for one song?

Sean Gunner 11-24-05 09:30 AM

That's a lot of rapping at one time. Only 3 times is amazing.

I have a 101 bar song on my first album and I wrote a 536bar piece called "B.I.B.L.E." like a year ago, a 187 bar batle and a 200 bar battle, but shit liek this now is useless. No one wants to hear that much music in one sitting no matter HOW hot you are. What could a song over 100 bars be about that'd hold the interest of a generation of niggas with short attention spans? It's one of those things that was hot in like 2000 or so, but most people aren't interested in that type of shit anymore IMO.

leady 11-24-05 12:36 PM

problem with doing something like this live, it gets monotonous, and also becomes quite predictable, u need breaks in between songs, get the crowed involved, say a few words to them e.t.c to keep them hype, i know everybody is out for the music, but just a huge ass song would bore me to death live, and performing it live would be ten times harder than it would be performing in the studio, cos when ur live, your bouncin a round more, using more energy and loosing more breath so you would have to concentrate extremely on your breath control, problem with this is, it can take away from u concentrating on your lyrics n cud slip them up or concentration on your presence/delivery could screw up too n the crowed would notice that n maybe not like it, theres alot of risks with doing something like this, but i know your ignorance so i will wait for you to come talking about "i never fuck up, im too good for that" blah blah blah bullshit

Oh well.. Its something I wanted to do personally...
Just an interesting experement to test my limits....
Also, not many australian emcees have done this type of shit before... So I'm doing it to push other peoples limits too... If you understand me...

Aside from your attempt at shit talking..
I agree, I'm a little anxious about performing this live cause so many things could go wrong.... Theres so many flow and style switchups over each beat that it def aint gonna get monotonous... Its really sort of like 10 tracks back to back without pausing..

NNN said I should put some bridges in, I'm prolly gonna do that at some point before I record... I just got about 5 other tracks to work on aswell so I cant do everything at once..

On stage I get mass cats up with me and whoevers doing my dubs can keep the crowd pumpin while I'm up there rapping till my mouth bleeds...

If I do it that is... I'll have to be pretty confident and find the exact right audience... But overall its a good addition to my portfolio....
