Completely off-key topic...but, for those who buy their own food
about how much per week do you spend on food?
I'm wonderin cuz I know I spend about 400 a month on food alone...jus seein if that's alot compared to other people I need to eat in more, that'll save $$$$$$$$$$$$ |
Me and my girl normally spend about £60 a week...and normally about £10-15 topping up stuff we don't get during the week...that'll mainly be shit like Nappies & baby wipes though...thank fuck he's off processed milk lol
so about £300 a month... |
Quote:
yea...I spend too much...60 lbs for u, ur girl, and ya son? I spend more than that on myself alone... *starts to be more frugal* I think it's also where I shop. I buy most of my groceries at the Safeway, probably the most expensive store around here. THe only reason I shop there is because it's literally 1 mile up the street from where I live. |
Eh, I don't really keep track. Couldn't assume a certaing amount, 'cuz my eating patterns vary frequently.
|
i lived on my own for three months and spent on average £100 a week on all sorts of shit.
Then money got tight and my pal was due to move in anyway did so and we spend about £30-£40 each a week but go and do all the shopping together like a cute couple lol I gotta fill my fridge and cupbboards this week tho cos i got a film crew coming round monday. I dont wanna look like a pikie |

Werd we goto ASDA (part of Walmart) and we could get better bargins @ Iceland and Sainsburys but the place is right outside our door practically there's no point and it's £ no lbs lol...it's currency not weight  |
Quote:
Dude...unless ya house had WHEELS...you couldn't look like a pikie |
Quote:
So there's like a little monorail that takes you from England to Iceland and back? That's cool as fuck, we need more in America than just DisneyLand. |
Quote:
I dunno where the pound thingy is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
should be above the numba 3
|
Quote:
dats not the currency sign tho # :nono: |
Quote:
Lmao don't you get it? They have the pound sign over the 3, and so do we. [/easily amused] |
Quote:
oh, you got a dodgy keyboard then. Get ya cheap ass out and buy a good one j/k oh and mad dog i think i chose the wrong word, when i said pikie, i meant skank. -I think that describes it better |
Quote:
ye but don't tell anyone...coz the bitches there got 24/7 nipple erections *brrrr* |
Quote:
my keyboard isn't cheap...I don't think any American keyboards have the British pound sign over the number 3...we have the # sign |
Quote:
Which is the British pound sign, just the American version of it. |
then it should be the ~ sign?
if not copy & paste £ |
Quote:
no thats a hash sign ######## |
threads like this never keep on topic do they??
I find it weird there aint a £ sign on american keyboards, especially as the pound is so much greater in value than the dollar |
Quote:
In our land, we use it to state either pounds (on the right side of the number) or a numerical position (on the left side). |
Quote:
yeah that means # = number ie: #1 #2 #3 |
Quote:
ok cool on our land we have the $ sign  they do in Iceland too  |
Quote:
yerp...I guess the british pound sign would be considered a special character in America and in word processors it's no where on my keyboard |
# also means POUND...when u make a phone call, often automated systems will say, "Press the number followed by the Pound (#) sign."
|
Quote:
thats pretty fucked up. I never knew that at all, but then why would i?? our phone systems say "please enter the number followed by a hash" which is also fucked up cos a few years ago i was like, "shit i have to roll a doobie just to make a phone call!?!" |

It's probably somewhere amongst the "alt codes". Just hold the "alt" key and start typing in 3-digit numbers, then let go of alt. Example: Alt + 168 = ¿ Alt + 192 = └ Alt + 146 = Æ |
Quote:
^^^^didnt no you could do that  |
Quote:
Yeah, it's nuts. I had to type a paper in Spanish once, so I spent like an hour typing in random numbers, trying to find all the vowels with accents and everything. |
I will NOT BE holding down the ALT KEY
NO! |
well this my second year living on my own.. I got a good pattern now..
When i come back to my APt after summers, i usullay have a big load, Buying a assortment of Dry Foods, and Condoments, Toliet paper and shit.. and after that i usally spend about 60 bucks every two weeks.. But i eat out alot.. Like once a day.. at least.. |
ROFLMAO @ spending an hour typing in number codes for accent marks hahahaa P.S. ya'll can't stay on topic to save a life lmao |

Quote:

i spend maybe 200 a month, just because i buy mainly suppers and breakfast food, cause im at work all day
|
Quote:
breakfast food are expensive as hell--i.e., cereal and fruit. I don't see how they can justify selling a box of cereal for 6 dollars. It costs a few pennies to manufacture. UGH I think I spend so much cuz I like certain foods...nah mean...I like what I like and nothin else |
