okay... maybe i'm da only one who thinks this... but when 2 kats get in an AUDIO battle shouldn't you be checking on how the dude flows, his presence, and what the dude is saying?... i mean really.... think about it.... if you battling in the streets and you got some dude beat boxing.... we all know that the dude can switch it up anyway he wants as long as he keeps da rapper on beat, right? but.... you not judging the beatboxer in that battle.... you judging the emcees and how they stay on da beat and humiliate the opponent, right?.... right.... doesn't matter how long the beat boxer keeps the same beat, right?....right.... any one who knows anything about battling would know that ya main focus is on da lyricist and the lyrics... period!!!

now with that said.... i'd like to turn ya attention to this...
according to strobe this is justified as a good vote

the fact that the beat was supposedly 2 seconds was a good enough reason to keep this vote alive.... lmao... strobe... sorry dude.... but that's not how battles work.... you need to go do ya homework and see how REAL battles are judge.... not that set-up competition shyt or anything organized.... you need to hit da streets and see how we (REAL LYRICISTS) do it in real life... now if i can have both my votes deleted ... which happen to be more in depth than that shyt MD got... then this needs to be taken care of.... everyone can see that this vote is bullshit and is far from being justified....

but peep this... to make me feel better...lol... one of my votes mysteriously got put back up.... i never asked for it to be re-instated cuz i didn't wanna hear mad dog talk shyt.... i asked that HIS bullshyt vote get removed and he agreed.... want proof? check da thread where he responded to it...

I had an idea for a better voting system.

I feel when two emcees battle, there should be a VOTING COUNCIL made up of 5 members agreed upon by both battlers. Ideally, the members of the voting council will be mutually acquainted to both battlers, thereby ensuring a fair and unbiased votes.

How about this idea...

Let there be a voter Registration...which will create a pool of voters who can be depended upon to vote on major AUDIO battles on this site. As for smaller battles between, let's say, newer members, those can be left as they are until they become more aclimated to the site.

The audio battles forum here is a complete joke in every aspect, as is the text. I been saying this since I got here a year ago.

No one votes, they just want to hear the battle and when they do vote, there's a high chance that they already knew who they thought won before they heard a single bar. when's the last time you've seen an upset here, the first time I battled Q? Dude was the crowd favorite till he lost 5-0 . The only way to turn that around is to do exactly what we did in Songs mad long ago. Me and sev went through and left feed on virtually every new track (which was about 3 every 2 days back then) and just gave honest straight up I don't give a fuck how you feel about it feedback (some dudes are STILL pissed about that exact same feedback) and look at it now. Honest feed with minimal cock jockying and someone's actually enforcing the rules there. There's no active moderation that goes on there that requires anyone to vote. the battle credit system is flawed to shit since most people will just make an alias if they don't have credits. etc etc etc yadda yadda yadda.

There's jsut too many ways for people to exploit it.

calm down dude, for one this is the net... and two by the kid who posted the bad vote, atleast he listend to your battle...and didnt just vote arbitrarily, strobe's definition of a allowed vote, is in the vote 'breakdown' the voter says somethin personal about the battle...ie in this case the 2 second thing

ok... listen to my track and tell me that either one of the 2 beats i used were less than 35-45 seconds... that's point #1... point # 2 is there IS an explanation of what good feed is.... That vote does not fall into that category... point #3 is the fact that strobes justification was based on dude sayiong the beat was 2 SECONDS LONG and not the actual verse itself...

that guy never went into any kind of detail of either verse... mine or mad dogs... all he said was mad dog has an accent... and yes, i agree that it's da net... no one is contesting that.... and i'm not pissed off.... i'm just wondering if anyone else sees da flaws in how shyt goes down here.... too many different standards... kats playing favoriteseven when they KNOW that they boys' shyt is trash.... mods not enforcing rules.... how are kats supposed to know what they need to pick up on if kats is giving bogus statements?

point #4.... approximately 70-85% of the people on this site have no idea how a REAL battle goes down on the streets... therefore they have no idea on what to look for in a battle.... thus the bullshyt, cockriding votes that happen here on a continuous basis.... stop da madness

da funny shyt is dude said my beats were 2 seconds each and strobe believed that shyt, thus justifying it as "good feed"... he took it as fact and didn't even listen to the track... how da hell is anyone gonna make a 2 and a half minute track using 2 beats and only end up using 4 seconds of beats combined?...lmao... you gotta be shyttin' me!.... this shyt is totally flawed and needs to be revamped and gutted from the inside out.... hell , make a fucking template if you have to with all the different categories to judge on... that way everyone is voting on the same exact shyt .... but would at least be able to say it in they own werds...

You have to understand that strobe doesn't rap, though. You can't expect him to know how things "work on the streets," because he doesn't do that.

PS, strobe knows Forums and he's better at that than most people here are at rap. Realistically, he's not gonna listen ot every track just to decide what's a valid vote or not. Oh course this means we end up with the problems that we currently have - but realistically, if you were strobe, woudl you do it on top of all the other shit you gotta do? Course not. Realistically nothing's gonna change with the Batttles forum. Yup.
