Do you ever think it's possible you're living in the last days?
 

I know I know

Everyone thinks their generation is the "final days." But, does it ever cross your mind that our generation might actually be living in the last days of life as we know it?

Without getting biblical, I'm mainly referring to some large-scale catastrophe or war. This current war we're in could escalate into something larger. Most scientists agree that it's only a matter of time before an asteroid strikes the earth. Then, what about biological warfare, or some natural pandemic? It's a real possibility that what we enjoy right now won't be that way all of our lives. Who knows? In 10,20, even 30 years, the earth could be recovering from WW3, or some other cataclysmic event.

I actually expect something tremendous to happen in my lifetime. That's why I've already begun thinking of ways to communicate with my family if something were to happen. That's going to be a huge problem. Remember on 9/11, no one could get through to anyone using cell phones. I know one thing, my faith is stronger now than ever. I don't fear future events like I used to. But, I wonder how real these threats are in our lifetimes.

I do think it's possible.. but I don't think this war is going to escalate. It will still be on going for another couple years, I'm almost positive..and the asteroid.. a matter of time could be 100 years.. and I hope I'm not living then. 1

hmm...understandable...But, I'm not suggesting you'd die during these times. I'm just curious about if other people think about it and if it's a real chance that life won't be the same in 10-20 years.


My gut has more resolve than fear about it. I actually almost joined the military after 9/11 because I have heart. The only reason I didn't was because I was still basically fresh out of school and wanted to work on a career some more.

It could be possible but I don't really care.

See, we have something in common. I finish high school in one year then I am enlisting in the Marines. Hopefully I won't die. That would kind of suck.

^^^are you paranoid fuck all that shit every year is getting worse your brain is actually tuning in more and more each year besides every year gets more publicized than the previous the fact of the matter is this there really is no difference to what was happening in the 60's to whats happening now just that we are now seeing itfull scale we eat sleep and shit iraq war talk publicized worse than the oj simpson trial ..secrets were kept alot more in the old days didn t mean there wasn t shit going on or the cold war where two juggernaut power houses of nations consistantly had there fingers on mass destructive weapons ..whre there were nuclear reactors being assembled in the most secret of times now with techno;logy and the ever expanding mind of the people we refuse to be kept in the dark yet flinch when we see it ..i myself say that this is a wakeup call to realize whats really goin still behind closed doors and that we need to open our minds up to the possibility that we might be at fault for some that is going on round here these days.....

I actually have thought this very thing for a while now. I don't want to get in to a religious argument, but in the bible it states that in the end of times there are all four of the major "wipe out" events.....War, Famine, Natural Disasters, and....I can't think of the fourth right now.....but in our world today, there is a large scale war involving many countries, there is many diseases springing up everyday that threaten our existance such as Mad Cow disease and Bird Flu, and also there are natural disasters springing up everywhere like the typhoon that hit asia and the huricane that hit N.O. Shit is just getting crazy now a days.......

WW3 will be somewhere inbetween 2010 to 2020, around there...so yea were fucked.

That's actually not too hard to believe. Since about 1999, I've seen a few very rare mentions in various magazines of an epic war that is to come in 2025 or so.

Nah, IMO the word will never just end. It'll only get continually worse and worse and worse until you die, but luckily, for every negative there's a positive. Times get rougher and it brings people closer together to stay up and that's when beautiful things happen.

Don't make this just a U.S. issue bro. Other nations have nuclear weapons. And, all of the U.N. agrees that there shouldn't be any more proliferation of nuclear arms.

I saw a discussion on nuclear weapons...

The real issue there is not the countries that have them, it's all the individuals that have the possiblity to make nuclear weapons. When the Soviet Union fell apart, a lot of scientific research concerning nuclear weapons disappeared and it is still unknown who has these documents. If these individuals find a way to get the means to make a nuclear weapon...who knows...
