Again, I'll reference my church because it's what I know. There are multi-millionaires there who are members. Doctors are represented as well as lawyers. There are people who have traveled all around the world ministering to people in need.

I find it amusing that non-believers think they're sooooo smart simply because they choose to reject God and not live by faith. The truth is, they have no idea what the bible says because they've not STUDIED it for themselves. They probably grew up under religious oppression--often at the hands of relatives--and now believe those lies are what's true. The fact is, 80% of what you're TOLD growing up isn't necessarily the TRUTH.

I am a believer in Jesus Christ. Can I see him physically? No. So, why do I believe in something I can not see? It's called FAITH. Faith is not just believing, faith is DOING what the word of God says as best you can KNOWING that you're pleasing God and will be rewarded as a result. Is this a perfect process? No. But, people who have either rejected God or haven't accepted him are blind. They have chosen to make everything els ein life their little "g"ods instead of the true and living God.

The following things can be worshipped as "god".

1. Yourself
2. Your loved ones
3. Car
4. Money
5. House
6...ANYTHING that you give more credence to than God himself.

I take issue with being called "brainwashed" when, in fact, I often have MORE formal education than the people hurling the insult. God's business is more than some slap-happy deacon shouting "amen" from a pew. NO. Churches like the one I attend are well run institutions that are about God's business.

I'm proud to be a Christian. I'm proud that darn near EVERY Christian I know is either college educated, a professional of some sort, or is very well versed on the issues of life.

Keep believing the nonsense if you want. But, choosing to believe that God has a higher purpose for your life is NOTHING, NOTHING to be ashamed about.

Only a fool says "there is no God." The knowledge that MAN thinks he has is foolishness to God anyway. He laughs at it. Keep going.

I dunno, I guess religion fell into the same are as santa claus and the tooth fairy. I.E. superstitions to explain what back then they didnt understand. It's like if I got food poison from old ham or something. And I didnt know what it was so I said "damn I think ive been hexed" and told everyone that. If you found out it was food poison and you told me that and I said "NO IT WASNT, I WAS HEXXED" and I compeltly denied anything u had to say, regardless of how rediculous I sound. Again, read the point of this thread. Infidels believe that somehow believers are "less intelligent" or "blinded" because we choose to live by faith. My point is that 90% of the belivers I know are either college educated people, professional people, or worldly (meaning well traveled).

i fully qualified college educated electrical and electronic servicer.

meaning i can do wiring of buildings ranging from basic house set-ups for lighting and power supply e.t.c to things like elevators, aswell as repair work on appliances e.g tv, radio, dvd, vcr e.t.c aswell as also having education on micro-electronics, erm example, whats inside a processor.

I beleive in god and some nonbeleivers beleiver they are smarter than me just because i beleive in god when the fact is my faith and religion has nothing to do with my knowlege. Some non-beleivers are in fact smarter in earthly knowlege than beleivers and vice-versa. Its kinda stupid to judge people intelligence over religion. Who gives a fuck? There's people from all walks of life who have religious beliefs, and also people from all walks of life with no religious beliefs.

I think you're just mad because you have yet to come to grips with the fact that other people have different opinions about religion.

This arguement just seems invalid overall. I have re-evaluated a substantial amount of my religious beliefs, to the point where some may say I have lost my faith. As technically a "non-believer", I don't hold my intelligence in regards above anyone else based on their religious beliefs. And even if I was a devout Christian, I wouldn't claim to be more intelligent to non-believers just because they're non-believers.

What denomination are you, baptist? Because if you're a baptist you should probably fix the hypocrisy in your church/mall before you come on here trying to convert people. Baptist churches are way too fucking big and have way too much fucking money to be able to call themselves holy places and get a straight face from me. The one closest to me is bigger than the mall closest to me. No Shit. It has a restaurant and a bookstore in it and two 200" plasma tv's so you can see the pastor because guess what...the church seats 10,000. And 5,000 of those people are just there to socialize and catch up on gossip while they nurse their hangovers from the night before and talk down on the poor non-baptists. They are like the most judgemental people you will ever meet in your life and they all think they're god's favorite person. Most other denominations are also exactly like this in varying degrees.

The point being...if your church has a restaurant and seats 10,000 people its not about God its about money and you should probably fly around the country to all those churches and fix all that before you post your next thread here...

There are a few huge Catholic cathedrals built by European kings with a lot of money but like 90% are small, holy places...because they actually spend their money helping people instead of buying xboxes and plasma tv's...

And before you bring up Catholic corruption from 500 years ago...yes...back when the bishop of rome could pretty much hand pick the pope the catholic church was extremely corrupted...thats when the Vatican City was all built up...but that's totally irrelevant today...

Exactly...I'll tell you exactly why they bring up my sexuality when it's a non issue.

#1...These topics make them feel uncomfortable. So, as a defense mechanism, they bring up what they feel is an "insult" to me, even though I have no problem with my sexuality. It's almost like when someone is pointing out your "flaws" and you start to pick on what you THINK are their "flaws." Little do they know I have no problem with my sexuality or how it ties into my faith in God. That's THEIR problem.
