How long on average do you spend mixing tracks?
 

Fuck I get bored during the mixing process...

I just spent like......an hour mixing a 16 bar verse...

And now I got another one to do................... :cussing:

once in a blue moon...i hardly ever make tracks let alone mix them

An hour? woah thats a hell of alot, depends if im adding effects, like stopping the beat, or adding sum soundclips, including all of that id say a 2 verse track with hooks adlibs and dubbs would be around an hour but for a verse shud be bout 5-6 minutes..for me that is

but on my tunes i spend hours and i mean fuckin hours mixin down my shit
gets on my damn nerves...

damn really i only do mixing in minute talk...but i ain't got patients to go for hours jus mixing...

5 10 mins?! Man, that how much time it takes for me to equalize my adlibs, lol. I know a few weeks ago, i spent damn near all day mixing this song i had.

When I did mix my own shit, it took about 30 minutes or so. But it was never too great, considering the garbage ass mic I have at home, and my not really giving a damn as long as you can hear it clearly. But fortunately I don't have to worry about it anymore, 'cuz the studio I go to mixes my shit for me.

I spend atleast a few hours on each song If I'm really trying to get it to sound nice..

bout 5-10 mins per verse... bt i can never get the sound i want.... prolly coz i don't know how to mix -_-

I get someone else to mix them haha.

I mix as I record, but any post mixing is vol adjustments from mixdown differences. Say about half hour to two hours depending.

i just really started getting into the in-depth part of da mixing... mostly cuz i ain't know what da hell i was doing.... EQ'ing takes time... i can't see nobody spending "5 mnutes" on a track talking about they got a perfect mix... that shyt is crazy... if you had skills like that you'd be anywhere besides here on RV posting tracks for free on SC...lol... the last joint i worked on... which ain't on my SC yet... took me about 2-3 hours and i still ain't get it to where i want it... granted, i got a 10 dollar mic and some broken headphones, but still and all, my qual is a lot better than it normally is... *thanks apexx*....lol

^^ord up man for the geat you got, way back in th day it took me 3+ hrs at a time with the same shit, and that was with a working hand knowledge, so you're right on track about that.

if you think you got the the best track and spent 5-10 minutes mixing, wow, that's pretty damn sad lol.

knowledge will show that you're putting out TRASH!!!


FYI, an album track in a professional studio takes DAYS to mix!!
