A "renditions" audio tourney?
 

haa...Just an idea...


What if we had a tourney in which you and your opponent had to rap a verse originally recorded by a famous rapper? You'd be judged not only against the original rapper's performance, but then with your opponent who'd also be judged on their rendition of the same verse. The person who performed their verse the best (as compared to the original artist and their opponent's rendition) wins the round until an ultimate winner is chosen.

Whoever runs the tourney decides which verses and by which famous rappers will be performed by the contestants.


So, in essence, this will be a tourney to test flow/delivery...beat selection and editing/mixing.

ive always thought about re-doing a artists song ...or verse something along those lines just to get my delivery up to par.. but this is a good idea..it would be fun at another board..not here:-/ tourneys here never work.

I'm saying that pretending to be another rapper won't make anybody a better rapper.

It's not so much pretending to be them as it is rapping in many styles...


Anyway, I disagree...I think it'd be a fun tourney on any site other than this one.
