It's something that we do in Northern Cali. It's a lifestyle. You just act how you feel. Nobody care how ignorant you look, thats why it's called getting stupid, going dumb.

When you feel tha music you go dumb to it..Hyphy is like crunk. Tha same exact thing, but organized. It's like an organized riot. And there's more to it then what e-40 is putting out right now. He's giving tha world a taste.

You got functions, which is just like a party but more hype.
You got dancing, tha thizzel dance, tha whirl, tha fish...go dumb...get stupid, etc.
You got clothing attire. Outrages glasses, t shirt, blue jeans and nikes
You got tha way you talk. Twirk ya words and shti. yadidimean...fa sheezy...revenue, capitol, yapper, yee!!! cuzzo what it do, etc.

the hyphy movement originated in the bay (oakland) and consists of us gettin' incredibly "stupid" when and wherever we want. gettin' "stupid, retarded, or going dumb" can be done by simply going outside of the norm. be it through crazy car antics (ex: whippin' at sideshows/ghostridin' your bucket etc.), through dance (ex: the thizz dance), through speech (ex: "ya-did-i-mean?"), through your attire (ex: super outrageously flamboyant clothing), well...........you get the point (i hope...lol). it basically means to get as obnoxious and silly with whatever your doing....just as long as you do it big, ridiculously big.

stand out and enjoy yourself to the fullest........its all some have.

the hyphy movement originated in the o. several years ago (branching off from the sideshow culture) but has spread throughout the rest of the bay (vallejo/s.f. etc.), the valley (sac/stockton etc.), to so-cal (l.a.) and beyond (i've been hearin' names like texas/louisianna/florida/new york etc.) keak da sneak (of '3xkrazy'), "mr. sneakaluffagus" himself has been given the credit of starting the "style" (<<< and yes....THAT was ALSO said in the mtv show....because THATS the TRUTH aswell.).
