So, I see that Troop is trying to be the big man. Allow me to clear things up. I have been annoyed by Troops attitude. Now that he has a microphone and does audio he is going around mocking text heads, and basically saying text is nothing and he some sort of audio god, telling people the old fashioned audio head comment "Pick up a mic, and then step to me."

I am just expressing my opinion that AUDIO and TEXT are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT styles of battling. There are so many audio heads who CAN NOT text, and a lot of text heads who CAN NOT do audio. But Troop, who used to be a bonafide TEXT HEAD, and not a very good one... is now acting like he is better than every text head because he decided to drop some little jack horner sat in the corner rhymes to a beat.

So, it just annoys me that a one time dude who was all about the text thinks he has the right to clown on text heads now that he does audio.

You talk about being a mature guy Troop, well be like some of the respectable audio heads on here and keep it real. Stop clowning on something you used to do, and were fucking wack at.

Just like if you took an audio style to text you would get owned by practically every text head on this site.

That is what I mean by them being DIFFERENT. Yeah, audio has more future prospects to it, you could get a deal. You ain't getting shit with text. But for those who just do it for fun, its cool. I mean this is the INTERNET... you ain't getting a fucking deal if you spend all your audio time dropping tracks on RV.

I respect anyone who is doing something with themselves, and pursuing a music career in the real world. But, if they are gonna come on here and clown people who do a different style of battling... just for fun, then they are gay. And most likely insecure about their own lyrical talent.

But anyway, if you want to get up on the new style of text... then just read battles from the LBL. Most battlers in there are up on the new style. So you just gotta see what they are putting down to know where you need to be heading to if you plan on continuing in text.

I'm already BEYOND aware that most texters think they're great emcees, then try to rap over a beat and realize that they're not as ill as they thought they were. I've seen it and heard it MANY times man, "text flow" status.

yadda yadda yadda etc.

^ Yes, I know. I've heard enough idiots rapping with a text style and flow to a beat and they sound gay as fuck.

But, on the other hand... I have also seen enough audio heads try and drop a text verse and its come out as some long-winded piece of ass that looks more like they are trying to write a fucking essay.

There is a lot more complexity and work involved in making an audio verse. But when you get down to the basics of just writing ure verse... it is just as hard to write a text verse as it is to write an audio verse. In fact, I would go as far as to say it is harder to write a text verse. All an audio verse has to do is flow with the beat and have some decent lyrics. With text you have to keep a structure, make sure you don't over stretch your bars... you have to think of ure wording, where and how you are going to incorporate wordplay... and more shit like that.

The hard part to audio comes if you make your own beats, and getting your voice to sound right so it don't sound like you are trying to swallow the fucking mic. And makig sure ure voice doesn't overpower the beat so you can hardly hear it, and vice versa....etc .etc .etc.

but most heads have switched it up to audio and that is the new main objective of text
