Negative. He was hot for his first 2 albums, as well as his mixtape appearances ("Fantastic Four" off DJ Clue's The Professional is forever a classic), but after that he fell off.

His 3rd album was complete doo doo, so with that said, he's not the illest MC ever.

he's slightly overated...just because people are always on him...no offense if you like him..but most people are like "He's the illest emcee ever" but personally i dont think he is...i think he's got sick lines and multi's but sometimes he has some out there songs that make no sense..lol....its all good though...he used to be the illest...but now he kinda fell off..

(I oppologize a head for this but I honestly own almost all of Jay Z's cds but I never heard reasonable doubt befor...I'll cop it after I getz paid again to make up for it...and I think the dynasty was ill...not the entire cd becouse memphis bleek is wak on almost all the tracks though...but most songs..)

Chino is an awesome writer, but doesent have the flow...

And Canibus is too underground, very hit and miss and people who arnt into heavy lyricism dont really feel his shit...

yeah....Pap...I honestly cant stand his voice...he did a mixtape track wit canibus and did ok but canibus still came out on top...chino...I use to be really into his shit but recently..his voice got annoying to me too....not to take way from none of they skillz though...just I can hear they voice for too long...lol but ya'll prove a big point on the real...thanks I felt like some of this shit just had to be said cuz canibus was getting slept on for too long cuz his albums have flopd and i didn't really understand why...1

There is no mistaking he is the best lyricist to grace the mic. But it really depends on what you consider good lyrics. Is it lyrics that flow? Lyrics that sound cool when you rhyme them? Lyrics with meaning?

Basically nobody can touch canibus when it comes to complex rhyme schemes, advanced wordplay and metaphors (often that need research to get what hes talking about) and an ability to make basically any word rhyme, because of the way his voice is. Plus the freestyles he spits that arent pre written are fire.

In that sense, he is the best lyricist.

Best MC? Well, what is an MC? Is an MC a lyricist, or is an MC somebody who can rock a crowd?

Canibus probably couldnt rock a crowd better than snoop or like 50 cent or whatever. But what he lacks in diversity, he makes up with insane complexity and intelligence behind his music. Plus his flow is ill, if youre into that kind of flow.

How anyone gonna sit there sayin Canibus is ill and pap is wack?

Papoose not only lyrically wipes the floor wit canibus little canadian ass....but he's a far better song writer too..
