Cool Edit blows because it bottlenecks your sound. You can't individually adjust each piece of your voice, just one slider that controls your treble and bass all at once, that's SUPER weak. Sorry son, that shits a feature for a cheap car stereo. Fool Edit doesn't show you the whole picture, so you end up never realizing it exists.

cuz i wanan get this mic but i dont know anyone who has it cuz most people are cheap asses and get the mxl 990 and i wanan more professional sound and shit now that im doin stuff and wont be able too acess the studio all the time

^990 is cool, it's strong where your voice is, but like most marshall mics it's got a filmy sound to it. all the intro mics are good at one thing but suck at somethin else, you choose which one plays to your strengths.

well i'm gonna have up too 300-400 dollars for a mic

lots of choices. you can do a LOT with Audacity, that shit's like Vocalists best friend.

a step above that is stuff like Audition, Cakewalk, Acid, Cubase, Garage Band, etc etc, and lots of other programs repackaging those features


then the top shelf is Protools and Logic.
