Getting $$ for your songs ...
 

anybody know what exactly you gotta do to get your songs uploaded onto the itunes store so people can download them for .99? or is there another widely used site for that i dont know about? i know you can charge on soundclick, but its alot easier with itunes b/c so many people have accounts they can just log in and download for a dollar... ya dig?

just go to there site and look for "contact us" every site has it.

^ yeah obviously i already tried that, but blah i just found where to do it, you have to apply to be a part of the iTunes label and have legal rights to distribute your music worldwide and shit, so i'm just gonna stick with soundclick.

ill send this thing to you i was sent on myspace, it allows you to sell you rmusic through txt message.

^^all I know is that i'm doing one full album with them.....there pressin 1000 copies and doing all my betas and all my recording gettin me my bus ticket too go down there....and a place too stay.....the only thing i gotta pay for is the tee-shirt and hat that i'll problay never wear lol......My uncle rocky was signed too a country label and he knows a lot bout hte biz..he's done more shows at big places then anyone knows......so hes gona look over it and hes gonna have a lawyer look over it......and then i go down there and record....i already have a few beats 2 so...u already know

Yeah i know thats true.........I know i dont know what terms or conditions there gonna have........thats why i'm talkin too other people...i wanna make sure i got somthin too fall back on..and right now if this dont work out i'm goin with no nonsense and his label double trouble records.....they've arleady said they want me and they can get me shows studio time and beats and everything.....but i dont know yet

word, oportunities are great. just keep your eyes peeled man, studio time and gigs and what not are great and all, but the gigs are what type of venues? how many people show up there? you get a percentage of the door? are you peforming for free just to advertize your CD? can you sell our CD at the venues?
don't dive right for that lure of "oh shit son, they;ll get me shows!" cuz what's gonna make it worth it or not is th details.


and if they don't know the details, you're dealin with dudes who jsut aren't ready.

this knowledge is the difference between having a "i started off rough" story to tell and "i jumped on the best and it paid off big" story.
