do you believe in fate??
i for one dont....if god wrote our lives from birth
then why would he have us kill each other???? why would he have us be racist or ignorant why wouldnt he make our lives perfect??? i believe he makes certain things happen based upon ur believes and thoughts ta maybe make u think bout sumthin but fate interferes wit freewill which god gave us unless he just likes playin mind tricks on us ur opinions on this?? |
Its a little thing called Free Will
he knows whats gonna happen but we have free will too do what we please |
Yes, I suspect fate is probable.

yea but if he knows whats gon happen it means its all written out ta happen if it is that means fate exists and we just have the illusion of freewill if fate doesnt exist then not even god dont know what'll happen cuz he didnt write out the future..he gave us freewill |
no, i don't. if you do nothing, guess what happens...
nothing. if you ever made a decision, you already know that fate can't exist. |
like in terminator 2 "there's no fate but what we make"
|
you really need a job or some shit................^^

^^dont be polluting my threads

That doesent disprove anything... If you do nothing, it is quite probable that it was just your fate to do nothing. And if you make a decision, your choice would ultimatly be a reflection of fate also. By the way man, you believe the universe is ordered dont you? Why should the spread of time not also be ordered. |

I'm iffy.
What exactly is fate? A predetermined end? I would rather live for the moment, without thinking that what ever happens to me is already decided by some Higher Being. Because then I have no will, I can go through life without making a decision and believe that It's my fate to do nothing. I would rather live unexpected than to think that my life is predecided so I would say I don't believe, or the ever ignorant response, would like to not believe fate is real. |

that sounds pretty silly to me but if that's what you believe, hey man, go for it. from whta you're saying it sounds like anything that ever happens (or doesn't happen) you could chalk up to "destiny". i used "sitting there doing nothing" as an example because whne you do nothing, nothing happens. you won't magically find your self in your dream job, you won't have a knock at your door from your wife, nothing. now if you do nothing and nothing happens, doesn't that clearly indicate that you have control over what happens to you? if you dive off a cliff and bash your body into a liquid, your "destiny" wouldn't have you magically appear in a fine restaraunt eating fillet mignon. that would also indicate that "fate" and "destiny" doesn't just happen to you, you're at the helm. and for the record, i the universe has order in its system of existance, not in the choices you make for your self |

So your idea of fate doesent apply to all aspects of life... Only progressive occurances... .......Right... |
like i said in my post...fate contradicts freewill
according ta religion god gave us freewill but whatever we do was supposed ta happen????....then we dont have freewill then life is just like a book cuz its all written which means we aint got no control of life |

how come you completely ignore the fact that i ahnnialated your whole concept of "fate" completely and you pick up my personal point of view about the universe? rediculous. when you're ready to talk, and you have a point that actually has some facts or logic behind it, then hit me up. if you wanna discuss my point of view on the universe, go make a thread, I'll be happy to shit on you there too. 1 |

don't go listening to the bible man the bible contradicts it self hundreds of times. it's written by so many different people with their own point of views that they wanted to make super-natural, that you can find anything in the bible that you can use to endorse... whatever you want to believe. |
What the shit happened to this thread? The first couple of posts are repeated.
|
Who's idea was fate anyway? Some guy with an imagination... Looks like its just an excuse. "Oh shit, my wife died and I have the plague, while Jim over there struck gold. It must just be fate." "It was fate that we met." blah blah blah... Just because some meaningless concept stuck or was thought up, doesnt make it worthy of discussion.
And free will + God being all knowing can go together with no trouble. Just get rid of your preconceptions about God. |
