Got an electric guitar recently..

I know a few songs already... But I'm mainly making this thread incase people can give any tips or anything that would help me learn this shit faster........right

How did you learn?

I can play three blind mice. I was taught by this homless cunt playing a banjo, guy was playin git over and over again tryna make cash.

Man you should def go pick up some basic music theory books, and if theyre too easy just keep going up the grades.

honestly the way i learned was jus watching people and copying what they did. i been doing that for about 10 years now. but i had a lot of musicians in my family around so i was always practicing

Man.. Reading music is easy as fuck..

With guitars its mainly about finger accuracy and technique....

A sound knowledge of musical notation makes everything a SHITLOAD easier.

Tabs shit all over properly written music...

You wouldnt happen to know any good ones that are fairly simple to play would you?

Man you gotta learn to read real music... At least learn the notes, and where they are on the guitar.

you should learn how to read music, and just play around with chords and learn scales... omb knows what he's talking about, he can't learn 10% of the songs out their properly without knowledge.

plus learning that stuff teaches you how to put together chords, learn progressions...etcetc
