Live your best life now!

By Joel Osteen

Great book so far...

He's a Christian Evangelist/preacher who encourages people to reach their personal potential through changing negative thinking patterns.

Check it out

Terumoto 10-22-06 05:28 AM

You should recommend this to Nos...

He hates living in the now and loves putting his happiness on hold for the future.

q, on a serious tip, why do you contradict yourself?
You DO seem like an intelligent dude.
You're knowledgable of the bible and you seem to be very christian - like in ways
Why are you homosexual?
All jokes aside

La Cosa Nostra 10-23-06 02:38 AM

I'm "homosexual" the same reason you claim to be "heterosexual". My natural temptation is beyond my control. What I can control is how I respond to it. So, please don't judge me because you aren't GOD. What you don't know is, that I chose to remain abstinent because the scriptures do say 'FLESS FORNICATION". So, that answers YOURS and NOS' question of "suppressing" my "gayness". It's no different from any temptation anyone else faces. For me, it's gay feelings. For you, ity may be str8 feelings to sleep with more than one female BEFORE marriage. For Nos, it may be something else. Either way, we all have our struggles and temptations to overcome. So, let's not judge me and act as if my sin or my TEMPTATION is worse than all others. IT ISN'T.

The bible also tells us to "suppress" or RESIST the temptation to:

1. curse
2. steal
3. drink
4. fornicate
5. be angry
6. murder
7. use the lord's name in vain
8. commit adultery
9. fear
10. hate

^^I can continue...Please stop viewing people who struggle with sexual sin the WORST people or somehow the WORST sinners. In all honesty, the greatest people in the bible were some of the "worst" sinners...i.e., Solomon, David, and even some of the patriarchs of Israel. God tends to FAVOR the underdogs. There is no contradiction and I'm not contradicting myself. How? I can see if I'm tellin yall to "flee fornication" and "don't allow gay thoughts to linger" and I'm doing it. NO. I'm struggling like EVERY OTHER HUMAN BEING WHO EVER LIVED.

Thank you

^^faggot? That word is quite derogatory and disrespectful. Gay or homosexual is more appropriate. Otherwise, you're just being ignorant.

Oh, and another thing. Why are you and Will Sun still asking me the same question over and over again? I mean, didn't we go through this back during the summer time? Yall are stuck. That's the problem. Apexx asked me this. Latin Kitten asked me the same thing. I gave you all my answer. So, why do you insist on persisting on an issue that will not change for me? MY ANSWER HAS BEEN THE SAME SINCE 2 YEARS AGO.

Can we get back to the subject of this thread please? And, that's a good book that can possibly better your life.

Thank you.

i actually started getting all the negativity out of my life from like 2004
since then i've got an education up to higher education which im doing now, i'm known in my area for producing, basically im taking the positives in my life until i bring them to their peak

but wait if nothing is forever doesn't it mean that if you reach your potential before you die, then as you have reached your peak, the only way from there is down?

Tha .Q 11-02-06 05:32 AM

^^No...That's attempting to play God...That's the point. God has a purpose and direction for you life. He defines it. And, His plan for us is far greater than our plan for ourselves. So, when I say, "reach your potential," I mean fulfill the destiny God pre-ordained for us before the foundation of the world was laid.

Bro...God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above ANYTHING you can ask or even think.

^^Ephesians 3:20

TRY HIM and see.

THERE IS LIFE AND SALVATION AND SUCCESS TO BE HAD.

Fornication and homoesexuality are both a SIN

and it says that we should REPENT and TURN AWAY from our sins. So in that case shouldn't that mean that you should turn away from being a homosexual.

It means that I should turn away from anything sinful...That's my point...And,as I stated, I struggle like everyone else...And, yes, EVERYONE struggles with sin because EVERYONE sins.

Show me one person who is without sin and I'll show you a liar.
