Just because you do a show that your so dope........I mean I know people that have shows all the time but are wack as fuck...so tell me your reasoning

Doin a show is stepin outside the box.....

Opening for established artists is steping outside the box.....

so yea.... doing shows gives you the confidence and the tools and the swagger to talk some shit ...... doesnt neccesarily make you dope.... but puts you on whole diffrent playing field than those that arent active in the game

yeah i feel you but normally when i go 2 the mall or wherever to sell cds and i've gone there before my charsima is crazy and people buy my mixtape or whatever cuz they know....or have heard..i've had my shit played in hip hop stores and champs and all that good shit..........Shows really haven't done nothing for me..to me there fun as hell but iono its just weird u feel.......

its a step you know, you make contacts...its hard getting up there and doing your thing infront of people too. its not the same as at an open mic where everyone is there for the same reason. at clubs some people don't even like hip hop, so its harder to convince.

hmm yeah true shit as well......i'm not saying that shows aren't fun or cool or whatever i'm just saying that some people who do shows at small events think that there really dope........for........some......odd...reason?

I dunno, to me this just looks like a game of one-ups...

I remember a thread you made a while ago about a show you did, and you talked about it like it was the illest thing since sliced bread. But thats not the point...

Its like first you're assuming that all the guys who have done shows see themselves as good just because they've done shows. And they talk about doing shows, because thats one up from all the people who havent done shows. And now it looks like youre trying to one up them by saying shows are cool and all but they dont make you dope, as if you are dope kind of looking down at these people.

A lot of the threads and posts you make seem like subtle ways to big up yourself, and a lot of the time you come across as a bit big-headed.

But I guess I dunno..

^^nah its just kids make up exuses "YOU CANT SAY I"M WACK I"M DOING SHOWS DONT EVEN HATE ON ME" and I was just stating the fact that just because you do shows doesn't mean your dope. and in the thread where I was talking about a show I did and when i posted pictures of it was mostly because i was being doubted that I was doing shows....So I made a thread about it...Most people on this site wont ever see a stage or hold a mic and spit in front of thousands of people.......but most of these "shows" people are doing aren't in front of thousands of people but maybe 20-30......and I dont I guess if it makes them feel so good by all means they can feel good about it.

FYI........ the Ying Yang Twins Show OYD Opened for was SOLD OUT.........

^yeah but wack emcees typically don't open for hot or even mild artists. you're there to build the hype for the main event, not destroy the anticipation.

getting any recognition from someone in the industry is always a strong step.

doing a show at your local club, in the grand scheme of things, is nothing.

yes there are pictures.. you wanna see em if it really means that much to you... it was at streeters nightclub.. and there are pictures of 5 others shows i did and i got a short video clip takin on a phone.. and i got pictures of the crowd and of the twins... and i got pictures of the many open mics i got... i got pictures of the money ive made selling c.d.s and shirts...what the fuck more you want my social security number.. fuckin hatin ass kids get a fuckin life
