I have no idea why some people like to group us with black people, I think dominicans are closer related to black people then we are. Racially, I've always considered myself a combination between mongloid and caucasoid.

let me educate everyone in this thread ......being puerto rican is not a race...it is a nationality....puerto rico is a latin country...meaning people who come from there are hispanic regardless of your race...black, white, yellow whatever...because all races come from puerto rico. just like all races come from the united states..being american is not a race..its your nationality....

so don't blame people who group puerto ricans with the black becaue of your race...because your race has nothing to do with it

so the reason why people group the puerto ricans a lot with the black people is because a good amount of the puerto rican people that live in america are really in tune with the black american communities..listen to a lot of the same music...dress the same..speak the same....

thats why....

so remember your nationality is not the same as your race.
