In the thrilling 3 battle finale TheSaurus(Pacific Grove, CA) and Illmaculate(Portland) took the 1st ever World Rap Championships, beating the British duo Whashisface and Possessed 2-1 in the Playoff-Finals. Alongside the prestigious title was $10,000 cash, the Championship Rings and most important of all, bragging rights.

Next years World Rap Championships, scheduled to start in July, with $100,000 prize money and is set to include 8 divisions; London(UK), Sydney(AUS), Toronto(CA), New York, Houston, LA, Miami and Chicago.

Actually, the roots of rap/hip hop originated in Kingston, Jamaica in the early 1960's. It never hit New York until the early 70's when it started in the Bronx.
