What are the top 3 PS2 games you've ever played?
 

3) Resident Evil 4 - Yeah basically this game is incredible and I've only just got it, that's how good it is. I haven't even played it that much but the gameplay is not only perfected but it's revolutionary and just... totally awesome. The storyline and intensity of the gameplay is thrilling and terrifying at the same time.

2) Pro Evolution Soccer 5 - Not only is this the best Pro Evo in the series, it's also the best football - in fact let me rephrase that - the best SPORTS game every created. It takes a while to get used but the total and ultimate customization of the game makes the replay value infinite. Master League Mode is probably the greatest game mode in any game mode ever and making your own league with custom players and teams on 6 Star is AMAZING. I play at least one or two 20 minute matches everyday and I've had the game for a year and 3 months. I think playing it has made me better at actually football too, because I observe how the players do inovative touches and make them work in a game, and actually emulate them in a real game situation.

1) Metal Gear Solid 3: This is the greatest PS2 game I have ever played. It's like playing a movie, and a damn good one at that. The storyline is possibly the greatest aspect of this game. The ending is the most emotionally affected I have ever been by a video game. Not only are the graphics some of the best I've seen on the PS2, the gameplay is ridicolously detailed and accessible. Before this game I hated stealth games, as I prefered the Soldier of Fortune 2 blast everyone in sight approach. In fact one of the best things about this game is that you CAN do that, but you'll end up dead as you get overun by a horde of enemies. In Grazi Grad, climbing atop the big containers and hopping around sniping people while they had no idea what was going on was classic. You HAVE to play this game if you own a PS2, there is no two ways about it.

KH2 was good, but WAY too easy. Though Sephiroth with the Winnie the Pooh sword on Proud was hella fun. Got him at level 49. Tryna beat him at 40. Anyway my list.

Pro Evo 6 didn't improve enough on Pro Evo 5 for me and though some say the gameplay is better, I still prefer 5 and never purchased 6.

...like, you put it in and everythings fine but when you get to the main screen where it says press start button, nothing happens??

Its doing this to me with the new NHL 07 that I got for xmas, its almost like it wont recognize the controller or something, but its a dual shock 2 controller that has worked for every other game for me....

anyone ever heard of this??

1) - FIFA 2006 - I don't give a fuck how many people say that Pro Evolution Soccer is the best football franchise game ever. The fact is FIFA has better playability, it is far more realistic and it has all the licenses so you don't have to piss around renaming players. Pro Evo just lacked in everything I thought. The realism to the game was bogus because everyone ran like they were 50 years old, the ball control was choppy and the shooting accuracy was so ridiculous I felt like snapping the game in two. The PS2 version of FIFA '06 was dope. The gameplay ran smooth as hell and the ball control is some of the best I've seen in a football game. They no longer had the arcade style shooting of previous FIFA games where you could score from the fucking halfway line. But, the shooting wasn't stupid so you could still bang in the 25-30 yard shots on a regular basis. Overall, it was just more fun and more real to me.

2) - Metal Gear Solid - Out of the series of games I still stand by the first being the best. It may not be as good graphically but I felt it had the best storyline, it was a first so everything was awesome. The rest are just minor improvements on what the first laid out and they didn't improve all that well. The first had better boss battles, the sniper battle in the first one being one of the best boss fights I've ever experienced on any game. And the boss fight against Psycho Mantis, the way you beat him has to be the most original idea I've ever witnessed on a game. The storyline was very emotional in places and it overall added up to being a spectacular game.

3) - Final Fantasy VII - This is still in my Top 10 Best Computer Games of all time. The graphics for the time it was released were decent and the fucking gameplay was incredible. It is by far the best in the series and is still one of the best RPG games out right now. A lot of people hated the turn-based fighting but I felt that it worked nicely and the battles despite being drawn out were still pretty intense at times. And my favourite part of the game was the card game you got to play. Beating people and taking their cards, the shit was like Pokemon only 100x better.

I own an xbox n ps2, I rarly play games but sometimes I go through stages of playing them heaps on weekdays when I'm not out at pubs n clubs n I feel like chilling on the hoo jah...(weed)

I love that fucken thief 3 game for xbox.. Hired it out multiple times n I still enjoy it every time i play.. Uhh, half life n half life 2 were both awesome games.... black was dope and the graphics on that were real impressive.. I own metal gear 2 and 3 n have finished em a few times over... any game from the hitman series is always ill shit.. uhh.. I dont really know many others...

But thats the type of shit I like.........

2007 is waaaay better man, in fact it's arguably as good as Pro Evo. But the customization and master league mode on Pro Evo still makes Pro Evo a better game for me.

FIFA 2007 is FUCKING GARBAGE. It plays shit, the gameplay is choppy and too slow and overall it is just a waste of space.

And the same with Final Fantasy VII... that can be played on the PS2.
