I dont know what you heard about it, but i was lucky enough to get a free copy of the latest one Windows Vista Ultimate straight from microsoft with a genuine key code, this shit is extra raw, im not gonna go all into cuz i dont really feel like it, but they have this widgets like mac and one of them is this thing called phone notify where you type in the message, then you type in then number you wanna send it to, then you type the name and number you want to pop up onto the caller ID, it calls the number ect. and says the message, i been goin crazy wit prank calls, callin niggas houses like im the school n shyt, its got alotta new shit in VISTA, im sorry mac but vista gotcho ass

im gonna be getting it when i get a new computer which wont be for like years though lol

I have had vista since the beta came out last year... It really isn't that groundbreaking.

Here is Vista in a nutshell:

so did you steal the computer with Vista on it from your school? or did somebody really give you a free copy?

no i stole it from school had it for a coupla months then put vista on it yes it was free, and teremuto if you still have the beta from last year then you dont have what i have, and i doubt its the same thing, and apexx ive dealt with mac, ive used a mac laptop for about 3 years, off the back its better FOR ME than XP, but the average person would have NO idea how to use it, but now that i have vista and a good graphics card and sound card, there nothing mac has to offer me that vista doesent, ive had vista for about a month now, no crashes n shit no freezing, takes about 15 seconds 2 boot up, shits ill as fuck

^sounds like OSX to me. And if windows is just now doign wht mac's been doing, they're behind the game, not ahead of it. when leopard comes out later this year, its over lmao

yea it was OSX, i really havent used tiger before, what did they change? and no i still download music and movies n shyt, and i only have 1 gig of memory and im able to run ultimate, but my videocard isnt powerful enough to use some of the new features so im upgrading it soon

my mother copped an extra computer with windows vista today. imma set it up in a lil bit so i can play with it.

Tiger is still considered OSX. all the cats are OSX, since they're all 10.x like panther was 10.1-2 jag was 10.3 tiger is 10.4, etc. but Tiger's got the f9-f12 keys wit the fun sht like widgets, exploded view, etc, not ot mention Tiger has more graphical eyecandy and it more visually smoother than the other cats thanks to CoreGraphics. But Leopard is to Tiger what Tiger Tiger was to Jag. new finder, new spotlight, mad new features like the desktop spaces, "time machine" and a lot more http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/

yea i had the widgets shyt to, but i like vistas widgets better

i mean how could you liek a widget better it all depends on what the widget is. that's like saying i like macs programs better than windows when that all depends on the programs.

your right, i like the widgets better, it has basically all the macs have and then some

well...all i know is i got windows vista. and thats about it. wtf is a widget?

I love that feature where you can have animation as your desk top.

a widget is like...mmm like a mini program. like there's a widget that'l show you your local weather from your neighborhood, one for the yellowpages, one that'll turn your computer on and off when you want it to, one for best gas prices in your area, email checkers, virus scanners, radios that pulls up any station, flight trackers, stock prices, games, scheduels and alarms, ones that'll let you track the votes of your senators, etc etc etc, pretty much anything imaginable, and that's not including the ones that tie into sites. i guess you'd have to see one in action to get a better idea.

I was going to get That Vista Home Premium tonight but we cant cuz we aren't using any money on our credit cards so it looks good when my grandma does a loan for our new house

I hate all the security shit it has... Microsoft are really trying to crack down on piracy. You have to be on your toes all the time if you get a pirate copy, and fuck getting retail. Even XP SP2 is annoying, trying to phone home and give microsoft all your details and the details of your software.
