I got strobe to close it because....

A) - The last week was fucking shit. The special event had like 2 battles up on time, then 2 more late, and the rest were fucking no shows.

B) - The league itself was just riddled with no shows and late showings.


So, in hindsight, you lazy motherfuckers do not deserve a magazine or anything because you made the last week a piece of shit rather than a strong way to finish. But word up to those who put in the effort and showed. The rest of you suck ass.

And the fact that the most activity the LBL saw last week was me debating with them dudes from letsbeef.com. That is fucking gay people.

Maybe you could do a concluding magazine about the LBL in a whole, but not reviewing last week, because last week was FUCKING ASS!

Well, seeing as the votes are in favour of MONDAY as the drop day for verses, battles will be going up on THURSDAY.

but yo, a lot of punches that don't deserve to be quoted somehow get quoted... kempo gave props to fracture's verse last week that had about 6-7 fat jokes in it... i mean, i love a good fat joke if its funny, but damn... don't overuse shit

word that whole verse wasnt quote worthy, except the buffer line and another one there, im really not feeling text period anymore, i dont see myself making more than one run there, im just wholly bored of it all

i'm a just go on one last run and when i get bored of the run i'm just gonna stop altogether, fuck a break.. just quit and put all my focus into my book.

I honestly liked it. I did a similar concept a year ago, although mine was more of a comical piece, called "I Wanna Be...".

I felt the concept was decent, it was some real shit and not some made up ass. The real life shit issues and thoughts are whats good right now. A lot of people would be thrown by the whole starting almost every line with the word Imagine. It is pretty necessary for the topic of the overall piece, but a lot of dudes find it annoying reading "imagine" over and over again.

Perhaps, if you took it back and rewrote it, it would be better. Maybe try piecing it together in sections of 4 lines.

^ see what I mean, dudes might find it more reader friendly then.

Also, drop the // at the end. I get that people use them to break lines apart but it is really not necessary. You break the lines by starting a fresh one, dudes should be able to pick up on the line breaks and rhymes easily. The // just make a piece look annoying now and "herbish". Yes, that is the word people associate those // with.

Overall though, the concept was real, it was dope. The delivery could be a bit better, maybe get a bit more complex in places. I know you are talking real shit and so imagery is not a major issue, but nobody really likes some basic as hell written piece anymore.

What the fuck? Me and Trus were gonna do an all time mag. Get the LBL forum moved back into the main part and conclude the week. You can't just leave it unfinished like that.

^ The all time magazine will still be done. It will just be put in this forum as this is basically what the LBL has transitioned into.

It will also be archived in THIS forum so that it will be like a history of what came before this. And it will also be more accessible to dudes. If it goes into the LBL forum it will just be fucking stuffed back into the Concluded Tournaments section where nobody goes.

So, it will go in here. But, if you feel it needs to be in the LBL forum, a copy can be put in that forum to. But honestly, nobody will go wandering into that forum to go and have a look at it.

You can still access all the LBL threads for your shit for the magazine if you want. There is no real need for the LBL forum to be reopened.

That's not the point. The LBL forum should be left there for a week longer, with the normal mag and the all time mag. Then it get's closed and moved to the tournament archives. It's finished. Done. If peeps wanna read the all time mag they'll go to the tournament archives and read it. That mag is being done because the league is being closed, and to finish it up cleanly. Not to be read in the GBA forum.

It's cool anyway, Trus is getting it moved back.

It was just my opinion that the magazine would be better suited in this forum. And last week sucked, so dudes will get to see how shockingly bad the LBL ended.

P.S. - I better see my name in the all time magazine, known for dominating the Cypher. Ain't no fucker in the entire league won that shit more times than me. :D

I suppose, it was to be expected. It still erks the shit out of me though, especially when at one point the LBL was thriving. It had immense competition, some of the best battlers across the net and hardly any no shows. Then it somehow drifted off and became just another passing text league.

Like Tavarez said, cos it's RV. The site ain't taken seriously by tight battlers. LBL was hot as fuck for about 2 months then it just sorta slowly moved along. Oh well, it's the best league RV's ever had and it hosted some dope battles so it's all good.
