Jaguars

They decided to keep Leftwich as the starting quaterback and all of there back-up quaterbacks. Finally it seems the organization is using their heads and realizing the nice crop of QB's we have.

So with that situation out of the way, I definitly feel that we're going to pick up some decent free agents. The organization said they don't like the college athletes coming up through the draft this year and that they'll spend most their money in free agency.

To me, I definitly see us picking up either Donte Stallworth or Kevin Curtis in the first two weeks of Free Agency which kicks off March 1.

For all the Jags fan, what ya'll feeling?

Heychoo 02-22-07 10:38 PM

i feel like yall will come in 3rd like always..IN YOUR DIVISION.

You serious? Wasn't it last year we were 12-4? LMAO you need to get your stats correct.

Plus wasn't it us this year who beat the superbowl champions 44-21?? And put up over 300 hards of just rushing on them?

Heychoo 02-22-07 10:45 PM

oh, and blew your playoff chances away against the titans. . .

J. Luth 02-22-07 10:53 PM

^no we did that against the patriots. stfu titans aren't gonna do shit. Teams obviously now know what they need to stop against Vince Young, which is the run. And when he can't run, you KNOW he can't throw for shit. Trust me he won't do shit next year. If he does, please pm me at end of next yr and I will personally send you $100 thru paypal. seriously.

but fuck the titans, but word I think this was best idea. Fuck garrard dude fuckin' tries to do way to much. fucked up our play-off changes BY HIMSELF. Two straight games we were in GOOD position of winning but he tries to much and costs us game. fuck garrard, he's JUST a good back-up, that's all. But word I got high expectations for jags this yr.

Heychoo 02-22-07 10:54 PM

that bets on. vince WILL do good.

mark my words. btw the hags suck ferzshilzldfsldsgsd.

THEY SUCK.

FlowIntelligent. 02-23-07 12:13 AM

ive been a jags fan since they came into the league and this is what i gotta say...

Leftwich is ass.. Garrard is ass.. they have no QB.

Jags are known for their rushing game.. i cant remember the last time a jags QB actually made something happen in a game.. i think they either need to trade for a veteran QB or draft a rookie and mold him to fit their team.. and with all that height and speed at WR theyre not utilizing it.. they dissapoint me :(

p4ntzistheish 02-23-07 12:16 AM

I kinda follow the Jags seeing as my Panthers are essentially the NFC versions of them. Yall should be fine next year if you play more consistent.

LOL @ saying you been a fan since they came into the league and then saying they never had a QB who did shit. HELLO....... do you remember Mark Brunnel? Dude used to have so many 400+ passing yd games. when Jags were in our prime him, jimmy smith and fred taylor all were dope. especially in that 14-2 year in 99. But if he never had that knee injury he would of only gotten better, but he lost his mobility after that and continued to decline.

Restricted 02-23-07 01:34 AM

For sure, if anyone knows anything about the Jaguars it's that Mark Brunnel was the shit back in the day. Back when Jimmy Smith and Kennan McKardel were getting back to back 1000 yard reception seasons as duos. Pretty much, they were the current day Colts back in the day.

I think them keeping Leftwich was a good decision, and Byron is a great quaterback. I don't know why everyone hates on him so much. I think he is a good quaterback and with this year his last on contract he knows what he has to do, so we will finally see what this year brings.

lol...99...hehe...yall were so good...wonder who ended yalls season...

J. Luth 02-23-07 09:37 PM

^lol stfu we were 15-3 and all 3 losses were to the gay ass titans. pshhhhhhh

but believe when we get to the super bowl we won't fall an inch short of a title

and WORD to syntax almost forgot about McCardell he was THAT dude. f'real

man but iunno the WR's in draft are really good. but iunno if jags gon waste time on another WR. but if Jarret or HOPEFULLY SOMEHOW ted ginn can fall to us word. cuz we could use someone in the special teams return game, kinda like a Devin hester.

Drew-Jones is like that BUT, he's also our runningback so we can't use him much.

FlowIntelligent. 02-24-07 01:26 AM

Of course i know about Brunell.. he was supposed to be the franchise QB but they didnt put the tag on him cuz he was injury prone.. what im saying is the jags DONT have a good QB. (As in now) .. They should say fuck it and put Matt Jones back there and let him play like college football.. a bunch of options and shit.. jags would go undefeated

Heychoo 02-24-07 01:46 AM

yep. to the TITANS.

as long as the titans and colts are there, the jags will always be number 3 in the afc south.

FlowIntelligent. 02-24-07 02:27 AM

the titans will be 3rd this year.. they hd a late season surge, but theyll choke ths year. Someones gotta injure VY in the preseason though

Heychoo 02-24-07 02:37 AM

omg you guys are retarded.

RB has there onslaught of ravens fans that talk shit.

i guess this is RV's version, just jaguars style.

J. Luth 02-24-07 11:03 AM

^stfu... obviously this thread is called " Jaguars" not "Titans", so take your titans talk elsewhere.

But lol I assume you were jokin' about the Matt Jones @ QB thing. LOL but nah leave him @ WR, you saw him the last 6 games? 5 TDs, and 3 100+ yd games. hopefully that's a sign that he finally steppin' up. BUT YO you notice the dude has like NO emotion?

remember when he tied the game against Bills on that last second comeback TD, he just didn't smile or NOTHING. then same against patriots we had that dope 40 yd pass to him to cut lead to like 3 with 3 mins left. and he just throw ball to side and don't even celebrate. shit's weird.

Restricted 02-24-07 01:24 PM

He's humble, something most people on this board know nothing about..

J. Luth 02-24-07 01:26 PM

iunno it just seems like dude don't even care. lol shows NO Emotion. atleast a lil fist pump or smile wouldn't hurt lol

Restricted 02-24-07 01:29 PM

Haha yea I feel you. I enjoy Chad Johnson and Terrel Owens' touchdown celebrations, but with that also brings expectations and I think Matt Jones knows he isn't at that level yet, so that is why he doesn't get flashy.

J. Luth 02-24-07 01:31 PM

nah not even that. look @ Marvin harrison. He really humble, but when dude score a TD he humble about it. but he still celebrate bit with teamamtes in non-disrespectable way. Matt Jones acts like a Zombie lol

Restricted 02-24-07 02:46 PM

Haha well that would explain his serial killer look that he has going for him

J. Luth 02-24-07 03:09 PM

LOL word mu fucka look like Paul Walker too. but word tho, hopefully Byron makes the most with this shot. it's bad tho, imagine if he has CAREER YR, and does so dope. and then decides to leave jags cuz they chose to wait so long to resign him. shit crazy

Restricted 02-24-07 05:21 PM

Yea, if he does well (which he probably will because our team is very well developed and put together) then he is going to expect a big re-signing bonus and all that.

But that's what they are talking about, with signing him a new extension right now without him proving himself so it won't cost us extra money. I believe Byron is the man to lead us to the Superbowl, and I always have, he just needs to work on his technique in the off-season. Beyond that, he has a strong arm and great vision of the field.

J. Luth 02-24-07 06:22 PM

YO this questrion and answer from ask Vic regarding that:

Jonathan from Orange Park, FL: Now that Del Rio has stated Leftwich is the number one guy, will the Jags need to re-do his current contract? Will money play any part in Byron staying with the team? Does he even warrant number one QB money?
Vic: You’ve moved too far ahead. First things first and the first thing is to find out what Byron Leftwich’s reaction is to his coach’s proclamation that Leftwich is and will be the team’s starting quarterback heading into training camp. It’s imperative that the Jaguars know whether or not Leftwich is committed to being the team’s starting quarterback. You can’t have a starting quarterback miss the voluntary OTA practices in spring, then show up the day before the start of training camp. The team needs a reaction to this announcement from Leftwich before the trading season begins, for the obvious reason. Does he want to stay in Jacksonville? That’s the next question that has to be answered. This is a step-by-step reclamation project. The first step was taken by Jack Del Rio yesterday. The second step belongs to Leftwich. The ball is in his court now.
