lol @ what good quality can do for your confidence and rap game

Ever since Apexx mixed my song "Wut u been waitin 4", I've been playin it for more and more people. The main reason I haven't been mass marketing mixtapes or selling/giving them away at malls and such is because of the quality issue. But, I just started letting mad co-workers hear it and they're all like "YO, that joint was hot." They were amazed I could even rap cuz I basically never tell anyone. Now, they're asking for mixtapes of my music.

APEXX...you are my official Go to man...

Implicit 04-30-07 03:59 PM

That is a good point. I do the same thing actually. I haven't really let too many people listen to it due to quality issues. I gotta get up to speed with that mixing stuff. Someone get me Cubase!!!

Logic The Goonie 04-30-07 04:05 PM

Niggas been asking for a mixtape from me since I used a 10 dollar mic. lol

Dude, who said anything about people not WANTING a mixtape. I said I didn't LET THEM listen...they've always wanted a tape as long as they knew I rapped.

No...trust me...it's not a problem with my confidence in my skill...it's a quality issue...

And now that I have a source to iron that out, I'm lettin mad people listen to my stuff.

Quality is alot, But with enough self confidence on your own, im sure you can step up with or without quality (less your raping with like an Xbox mic..lol)

no doubt man...I mean, before...I used to be appprehensive to let people know I rapped I'm not quite sure why. But, now it's just a matter of putting out bumpable music. And, for me, that means uppin the quality.

word up Q, another person whos crossed the threshold and seen what life is like on the other side. crazy how everything you recorded before sounds like bullshit now huh?

to everyone else who's yet to cross the threshold, think of the level you view your music now, how you feel about your music, and also, how people feel about you. Now, envision the level you can hold it at when it sounds professional. when it sounds like you take your self serious. When you go from sounding like you record in a coat closet to sounding like you record in a plush multi-million dollar studio, people believe in you because it sounds like you believe in your self. What would it be like to see your self go from 10 listeners to one thousand? To convert those walk-aways into avid fans and to grab the hearts and minds of the casual listener?

That's what its like when you cross the threshold, and that's what its like when you get down with Apexx.
