I Read the article, as well as many of the comments, and I agree with what Graves did. Griffin is a funny guy and all, but you have to understand what the event was, who was there, and what they stood for. Griffen pretty well mocked them, as if he was being "real", and they were too good for themselves. On the real? Griffen was prolly coked up and just didn't give a fuck. *shakes head*

And I figured I'd explain some shit.
1. I said I hate every black person over 40. If you read the comments on that page you'd know what I meant. They acted as if this generation of black people are the devil spawns of hell and like they're generation is fuckin perfect. When THEYRE generation created the horrors that THIS generation was born into. All that crack and gang shit was here before I was born, they brought that shit, not the generation before them. And they have the nerve to get all high and mighty about shit, fuck them and their holier than thou attitude. 2. I HAAAAAAAAAAAAATE censorship of any kind, period. Now they're just trying to use people as examples. And I singled out black middle agers becuase they're the ones pushing the censorship the most. They feel that censorship= moving foward. When it's moving backwards. All of these grounds have been broken for free speech and now they act as if they're on some fuckin black panther martin luther king shit for limiting free speech. This inevitably would motivate people who support free speech to actually SAY IT MORE. And what pisses me off is, these people have me SUPPORTING the people that are calling ME a nigger. I don't agree with them saying it to me, but I damn sure believe people should have to right to say whatever they want. And thats why I'm mad at them. Obviously I don't literally mean ALL middle aged black people. It's an over generalization that should be obvious. 3. That dude who threatened me was dope. |
hmm yeh i see your argument against censorship and freedom of speech but it must have its limit...constructive free speech is fine but using nigga all the time ain't a constructive way of using your free speech...so why are you in eddie griffin's corner on this front...

Well for one, I'm in eddie's corner because hes used it in all of his acts and they pulled him off stage without even telling him not to use it. And 2. Not all older folks are against it, my mom says it and so does my grandmother. Some young people are against it. It isn't a maturity or old age thing. It's all about opinions. And I don't regard freedom of speech as a morality issue because in America that's basically a given. And that IS patronizing. Just because I'm not on the older peoples side doesn't mean I'm some immature brat who doesnt know shit about what he's saying.

I didn't know delph was mad cause of the censorship issue. lol. I agree with you on that, I think there is a time and place for everything. But, you are pointing your finger at Graves and his lil posse of older people, like they, personally brought gangs and crack to your hood. If you think about those people, they might be in the age brackett of the generation who brought it about, but they certainly were not the people doing it. They were the people staying out of the shit, and keeping their noses in books, and trying to break massive stereotypes for black people. But yea, the article doesnt say that they warned Griffen about swearing, and it IS part of his normal routine, so i guess they kinda got what they deserved asking him to perform.
