I'm thinking about opening a Text or Topical league. Or both, depending on how completely active the topical scene is. I know Mystic. would gladly take a mod spot in helping, so I can split the work with someone else in running a regular, bottom-line text league, no gimmicks, just text, every week, I might join that for about 3 weeks & leave. I also want to open a Semi-1-2 Punch League in which everyone has to drop once every three days. lol. 150 days, 2 seasons a year, 32 day breaks. That's 50 battles a season 100 battles a year per person who signs up, 1 punch every three days. Quick shit.

Who's in to help on either of the ideas as moderators or battlers? Is this a bad idea? I'll continue running the 1-2 punch either way. Oh, and say if you're down for topical too if you're a topical head, I've only seen one other than myself .. .Poetic. I believe.

topical leagues never work so you might as well scrap that idea from now. and you have only mentioned 3 topical heads including yourself and that would probably end up being the number of heads in your league lol

Let's go over it, 3 text heads have showed up, 2 agreeing to run a league or co-run a league, 3 topical heads have showed up & think the topical league is a good idea.

I'd say it's possible. I just need to put it together for y'all.

We have a small bundle of audio heads and a couple topical heads here and there, so there's a chance I'll spark up one of those.

it's probably going to be a text league. It may have special occasions where it's other things along with just text but no, on the regular it will be straight text verses.

However that doesn't limit or stop anyone from making a Pic Battle Text League. :) I might even make a sub-forum for the text league for it to have it's own "special text" type of verses. Though I don't find them very entertaining. lol. That semi shit catches my eye the most. Holy fuck ;)

well I can't just make one text league covered in pic battles because, mystic., as you know a lot of text heads (doesn't matter how ugly they are) are usually afraid to post their picture. I've met decent looking dudes who wouldn't, sexy girls, ugly dudes & ugly womenz, all of them have diff. reasons to not post their pic.

Coming from someone who's run the 1-2 league here and tried running the gimmick league here until I moved it elsewhere.

These ideas are nice, but more difficult than you can imagine. If you really want to make a regular text league here work, you will need a LOT of advertising. A lot of AIMing people you don't know trying to get them to join. You haven't really done that with the 1-2 and haven't really needed to, but if you want a full text league to work, it'll be necessary. If you are comfortable spamming the internet with advertisements, making huge mags, and doing everything to hype the league, cool, but otherwise I wouldn't bother.
