it is cool to see them pushing more and more professional grade usb mics tho.......ive read up on the avantone one and it seems to be the real deal ill keep u posted...i also saw a rode one for like 229 thats also supposed to be real good.......

whatever you do not waste any money on a USB mic. Buying a USB mic is like wiping your ass with dollar bills.

pretty soon phantom power sources will be obsolete for direct to computer recording cuz they have completely remedied a sound issue with usb interference....

homie the best sounds from a mic is thru phantom power and xlr cables...you cant even run a usb mic thru outboard gear. im pretty sure it sounds decent but u cant do much wit it ..

u got a usb and have the quality u got now? any tricks, i have the co1u... only thing that helps me is keepin the right distance from the mic while spittin.

i used to do all that stuff but i thought i took away from my actual sound and muffled it a bit. i also just silence my gasping for air and stuff instead of cutting cuz it seems when u cut u can tell where u cut.

but whats the deal wit the pan? i dont usually do any of that i keep it all centered, does it make a big differnce, probably nothin to do with quality just a lil style adjustment eh.
and i've never really gottin into the equalizing, i'll try that out. and do u adjust your volume with head phones or with the speakers plugged in?

if u dont pan u just stack ur vocals and dubbs and its all mushed together...thus effecting quality
