good point??
this probably belongs in cerebal approach but nobody goes in there so fuck it, anyways someone i was talking too thats been around for awhile brought up a REALLY good point yesterday. according to her opinion, we got so caught up with technology in the past 2 decades that we forgot whats important. we're more busy paying attention to our ipods, computers, cell phones, the next new thing that we forgot everything else.
makes sense though. we got problems with war in iraq, the increasing crime rate, and everything else going on in the world and unlike what the people of the 60s and 70s (hippies, revolutionaries, etc.), we're more focused on technology that we aint set on resolving problems of today. 60s and 70s kinda established their own mark in history with all the diffrent styles and shit and now the past 20 years have been completly boring. no style no nothing. i dont know i just thought that was a pretty good point. of course theres gonna be people who disagree. |
yea blame ipods for the lack of care regarding the war in Iraq. That's real intelligent
|
^^^ipods was an example. and its an opinion not fact. so theres no point in arguing
|
true, no no it's ok you're right there I aggree it makes sense ya you're right don't worry, you have a point there it's true
|
plus, i think technology DOES deserve a lil blame. i mean look how lazy we got cuz of all the things technology does for us. not saying im against any of it but it does have an effect.

it wasnt MY point if you read what i said |
Your kidding me right? if anything the 60's and 70's started more problems than they solved. Civial Rights and Equal Admentmends was prob. the best thing that came from that era of time. You do realize that back than, protesting was a way of rebillion....kids now a days just do things a little differently. I highly doubt that its because of the technolgoy that anything has changed. What about Nixion? See a clear connection with how he was treated and how Clinton was treated? What about Johnson and the Vietname war? He wanted to go in to 'Nam....so did Bush with Iraq, yet America didn't do shit other than keep nodding their heads until enough people (young and old) did something togeather about. That person you semed to talk to is only viewing that young people are less pro-active publicly than they were before. So you view is completely: lame.
|
yes but overall it's been more positive to society. Besides the lust for technology is endless you can't stop the humans thirst for innovation and more knowledge to advance our race because it's been built into our genetic code.
|
Technology is what advances the world. War in Iraq? We technologized bombs so we can win...and will eventually (go america:):):))
Crime rate? Look at Robocop - he was made from technology, and nobody ever got away from him. Don't you hate cashiers at the grocery store? Even when I was one, I still hated them...now, thanks to technology, they're being replaced by robots. (i.e. "self check-out lane") So technology's awesome. And although I'm a little weary about putting robots in control, I still take the bus all over town. |
all im saying is the LIFESTYLE was better. not the world problems or anything else. i just kinda threw that in there. jesus does everybody have to fuckin argue with you and be a bunch of know it alls. no wonder this site is dead. nobody can even state a single opinion without being wrong
|
LMFAO ROBOCOP........ you're fucked bro haha

oh yea you're right it's true it wasnt ur point yaya it's true no you're right you got me no no it's true there you're right |
Quote:
so true but at the same time thats an example of losing your job to technology. they could probably replace our troops in iraq with robots too but obviously bush finds it more intersting to send people family members off to never come back |
The first real life computer ever created was by a German engineer.
it was used in the concentration camps during world war two to count and keep track of the people inside each camp. :) 1929 was the date I quote from a book that I got it from. While the internet states it was in the year "1943". But fuck the net. |

you should read you own shit sometimes. " JTR i probably dont like you" |

True, yet I feel we should consider that as motivation to stay a step ahead of the robots. Quote:
No, we replace them with bombs. |
^^bombs kill
. . . . |
Quote:
And with the more kills, the less people getting their jobs "stolen" by robots. Problem solved!:):):) |
why would we bomb our own establishments that costed us trillions of dollars?
It's bigger than the mother fucking Vatican sonz. Just bring it down with bombs? Hell no. In-fact, fuck it. make all of America quit their jobs and join the fucking military. we'll all go live in Iraq and do our part in protecting the newly built democracy half Iraqi half American empire on their own soil. |
Vatican? Where they build catholics? Bomb those boy-touchers too.
|
you mean simply "The pope" and his followers, yes, in ROME. Where Catholicism has been for a long mother fucking time.
Why would we bomb them? Nynth just wants to see the end of the world in HIS lifetime. If russians lived next to your mom, solution ND? |

Lungs, you're crazy.
Technology and networks are the future... Deal with it. Technology causes problems sometimes, but it also has so many positives. And the problems you're talking about aren't even clear. Taking away from what really matters? What does that even mean? What is it that really matters? Spending time outside or with family? You don't even specify anything or present any real problem. What if technology is what really matters to some people? And what does the war in Iraq have to do with anything? By the way, how can you possibly complain about losing jobs to technology? For every mundane position in the work force snapped up by technology, hundreds of opportunities for work pop up thanks to technology. I could sit in my comfortable chair, listening to music and smoking weed while writing up articles for some shmuck in Europe, getting paid by the hour, or designing a logo or advertisement for some random company. And what about computer technicians, networkers, administrators, system analysts... Theres countless jobs that only exist because of technology. |
Skimmed through first post so dont blame me if Im off topic.
Technology is morefocused than humanity, theres money in technology, theres no money in humanity. |
