The Dark Knight
Fuckin awesome, best movie ive seen in a minute, its shitting on iron man right now, especially since im a batman fan, when i saw harvey dent in the beginning im like oh shit theres gonna be a sequel with two face!! but they put him right in i almost shit my pants, they couldnt have chosen anyone better to play the joker, PERFECT performance, i recommend to all the people who download movies to go to the theatre and see this, it will be WELL worth your money, thoughts anyone?
|
its long.
but its kick ass. |
dope, but theaters have been lettin me down lately wish i could see it in imax
|
Hate me if you wish but... Ironman was better in my opinion. But Batman was still a good movie great Joker (R.i.P) but I might have liked a different Bruce Wayne. He played the role well just didnt have that charm about him like Robert Jr did for Tony Starks.
|
Well. They are two different characters, they're not supposed to act the same.
|
I believe the word he used was charm...
|
I meant who said Bruce Wayne was supposed to be charming? Hence me saying they're two different characters.
Edit: Well, I guess he's saying he liked that Robert Downey had charm. |
Well he had them rusian chicks all on his jock, I'da been quite James Bond about making a entrance with 3 good looking women. Personally I'da threw in a sex scene with Natasha during the begining instead of just that weak kiss with that rather unattractive chick. She coulda been played by someone a little more fierce and better looking.
And I may be comparing apples to oranges but if you don't have something to compare yourself to how do you know how you stack up? |
I wish Katie Holmes was still in it instead of that wierd looking chick with baggy eyes,
|
honestly he doesn t need to have charm because he is a dark persona ionno personally if christian bale isn t in the next i wouldn t be half as interested
|
yea, one of the better movies ive seen this year... Joker made it all worthwhile, i actually went into the movie saying to myself "he's probably only getting these props because he died" even though the whole time i was hoping he was as good in it as ive been hearing since the day he died (and even a little buzz a month before).... but after the movie u realize something: everyone who is watching this movie is taking their closest look at The Joker, with every move, line, and laugh, and he meets or even surpasses expectations on all accounts.... thats wats dope
|
imo Ironman and Batman are the two best Superhero movies to hit.
i liked them both better than Spiderman (Who seemed a lil more feminine than usual) and X-Men (who tried to plug too many diffferent small stories into a big one and pull it off) not saying i didn't like the others. but ironman and batman are the best. i give it to batman though. the action scenes were better. and while cb lacks the..chemistry downey has wit Ironman. he fits the part very well. btw. lol. Heath Ledger. i liked more than Nicholson. |

Quite contrary actually. Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne are the same personality type only Bruce Wayne was slightly more modest about his ballerness. Outside of costume the two characters are virtually interchangeable, it's when you put the costume on that they change. |
jokin right, bruce wayne and tony stark interchangeable, that tickles me pink.
but batman shitted on ironman i loved iron man and all, but the plot was the exact same as the iron man cartoon movie that came out in 2007, the dark knights plot, was jus fuckin awesome, im going to see it again pretty soon |
seriously though, lmfao @ arab states that openly admit to carrying bombs and shit in Iron Man.
Fuck that distorted non-historical drop of belligerent crap. I'm four times the average happy limit that I didn't watch the whole thing, OR pay to see it. |

I beg to differ. Bruce Wayne has two different personalities when he's not in the costume. Billionaire Bruce Wayne. Where his "ballerness" is an act to make people make no connection with him and Batman. And the real Bruce Wayne. I agree that Tony Stark relates alot to Billionaire Bruce Wayne, but the real Bruce Wayne I can't really relate to Tony Stark at all. |

Take Bruce Wayne in "No Man's Land", after sensing the coming storm he left as Bruce Wayne to fight it politically but was taken as an air headed billionaire by everyone. Same as Tony Stark. Both Billionaire playboys considering Bruce Wayne is considered to be "Gothams's most elligible bachelor". Besides that, he doesn't act like he does to throw people off, that's his personality. He doesn't need to act like anything to do that. He's done it using robin and body doubles so he could talk to batman in front of people. Besides that, look up the Marvel Vs. DC war. His life is compared to that of starks. [QUOTE=-TeamOne-]jokin right, bruce wayne and tony stark interchangeable, that tickles me pink. Why not, when batman was impersonated convincingly by the Huntress who may i remind you was a woman who looked nothing like him. And iron man impersonated by James Rhodes during the secret wars. Rhodes is nothing like iron man and Huntress is NOTHING like batman (neither is Azreil who also took batman's place). In or out of costume they're fairly interchangeable. But i do here pink is popular nowadays  |

I see you know alot about the comics, and I'm sure you're right on some level regarding them. But, I'm pretty sure everyone in here is talking about the portrayal of Bruce Wayne in the Nolan films. In which case, Tony Stark and the real Bruce Wayne are nothing alike. Edit: When I say Tony Stark, I mean the portrayal of him in the Jon Favreau film, or however you spell him last name. Don't feel like looking it up. |
im talking about bruce wayne and tony stark PERIOD, like it was said before, when tony stark is in public or not he's kind of a goofball in a sense, but bruce wayne is more serious, BUT i DO agree that robert downey jr. portrayed tonystark alot better than Christian bale portrayed Bruce Wayne, but he didnt really get alot of time onscreen as JUST bruce wayne
|
Just because you don't get a lot of time doesn't mean in the short time you can't impress. During the fund raiser he could have charmed significantly more.
|
is Dark Knight really as good as the you lot say? if so i might go and see it or wait for it to come out on BD
|
It's good enough to make you think the first one was shitty if you watched it again. ... almost
|
You mean the 1989 one?
|
...... Nah, I was thinking more like the one that preceded this one ..
|
Yeah. I kinda like certain aspects of each film better than the other. The villians and action scenes in The Dark Knight killed those in Begins but I liked the back story to how he became Batman alot in Begins. The slower dialogue scenes in both films kinda suck though.
But anyway, I thought you might be talking about Tim Burton's Batman because I watched it the other day and it was still a good movie, but everything seemed so lame and over the top. Espcially Jack Nicholson dancing around a museum. |
The joker's performance made pretty much every non joker scene in the movie feel dull, even if they all did very well in the movie. The next batman will suck though without joker. Two face better pull off the best performance of all time.
|
begins didn t have half the budget this movie did sort of like the first xmen movie
|
i agree public bruce wayne is very similar to public tony stark..... but in private situations wayne is much more serious while tony stark is still his "baller" self when he's by himself or just talking to one of his close friends.... and thirdly batman's attitude is less than that of a "Hero" as it is a Villain to the Villains, in all the Batman scenes he's very cold, harsh, and has no wit, its all business
so its alittle bit harder to compare the two because bruce has almost 3 personas, while ironman has maybe 1 1/2. |
Yeah, that's what I thought too.

Well Put! this is pretty much exactly it |
They got lucky as fuck getting Heath Ledger to act during his stages of being the most drugged up hed ever been yet in life, who else fits the joker character more then a cracked out Heath Ledger lmao
|
... He said in an interview that he didn't start taking pills until after he finished I'm Not There and The Dark Knight because he had trouble sleeping and couldn't sleep for over 2 hours a night, sir.
