MLB Playoffs...any predictions?
I think it will be...
Angels vs Cubs Angels winning it. but i'd love to see Rays vs Cubs Ray's winning it. ne guess's? |
as long as its not the Red Sox...i shall be happy.
my fav. player in baseball is Alfonso Soriano...since he came out of the Yankee farm system and what not..and was my fav. Yankee when he was there. BUT, i dont know if i want the Cubs to win it. They will morph from the lovable losers to the most annoying fans ever who won 1 World Series in 100 years...yet theyll feel they finally have the right to talk shit. It will be Red Sox part 2...maybe worse. |
lol, word @ the Cubs fans being a repeat of the Boston Fans.
fuck tho...you can't lie, the Red Sox have bulit a team tho...i mean, what is it 3 world series in 5 years? They broke there 'curse' and fucked it in the ass...lol fuck em tho. GOOOOO RAYS. fuck the Yankee's. |
its more like uhhh....2 world series in 90 years...
or 2 in 4....however you want to look at it. |
lol, if you look @ the 2 in 90 year's....shit makes every champion look small...cept like Celtics, Lakers, Yankee's, Bulls, UCLA, and Canadians (i think...not 100% on hockey)
so i mean, 2 in 4 years is pretty damn good. |
Go sox or Rays. Sucks they both play first. Whoever wins that, i'ma be pulling for

i think you left someone off the list....most national championships in college football sir....the Alabama Crimson Tide. 12 NC's. and yes..its the Canadiens...they have 24 stanley cups i do believe. |
Yeah, fuck....Bama been on the downward for a while. Until Saban. lol
|
In my area it's either Cubs, Sox or Cards. I'm down with the Cubs because most Cards fans are faggots, but ultimately I don't give half a fuck about baseball.
|
UCLA wins 19 to 17!!!111

its called probation...theres a reason they were down for a while. Scary thing is...theyre 2 years away. |
from? .

lol...i guess if probation keeps you down for a decade. |
wats funny is everyone thinks the Red Sox fans are so bad, but here in Chicago its the White Sox fans who are Horrible.... i mean Red Sox fans were always alittle rough around the edges.... but when the white sox won, it was more of a celebration to rub it in Cubs fans faces then the fact that they actually won for the first time in over a hundred years....

i hope you arent serious...think about this for a second. and also keep in mind it hasnt been a decade..2000 was the year..and in 2008 they have the #2 ranked team in the nation. for 2 seasons your team is put on a limited number or scholarships (less than 85..which is now the limit for all schools) and cannot participate in ANY bowl game..no matter how many games they win. the 1999 recruiting class does not want to go to Bama..why? they cant go to a bowl game for 2 years. this means you get WAYYY less talented players. the 2000 recruiting class doesnt want to come...nor the 2001. This is 3 years in recruiting where your program is shot in the knee. This type of probation is often referred to as the "death penalty" around the NCAA. Why? because a decade is a short period of time for a program to be back on their feet...usually...they never will be back up. the 1999, 2000, and 2001 recruits are all there for 4 years each. This progresses to 2005, excluding the red shirts. 2005 is really the year where you can see them start getting better. Winning games is what recruits the best....and after the "death penalty"..Alabama was obviously not winning games. for them to be this far along only 8 years after they were put on probation is absolutely remarkable. Granted..they had to offer the best recruiter in the nation a rediculous contract to get it that way...but it worked. So, you laugh when saying "yea..if probation keeps you down for a decade"...but in all fairness...it was put in place to keep you down for longer than that. Do you think kids in the 2002-2004 recruiting classes wanted to play with the product left on the field from probation? no...they chose Auburn and other SEC schools..like Tennessee who has to go out of state to do a lot of their recruiting. NOW..once Saban has arrived..you will see a steady dropoff from both Auburn and Tennessee. Upon Sabans first year of arrival...Tennessee..who usually has a top 10 recruiting class...ended up with the 36th ranked recruiting class...the worst since Fulmer has been there. Auburn barely cracked the top 20 and Bama landed 9 of the top 10 in sate recruits. Auburn has ranked in the top 10 in recruiting nearly every year since 2000. Now..Saban arrives..Bama ends up with the top ranked recruiting class in the nation, and Auburn and Tennessee end up with some of the worst theyve ever had. Coincidence? Nope. Note this. Alabamas 2 top freshman..Mark Ingram and Julio Jones...have combined for 9 touchdowns this season. Auburns entire offense has combined for 8 so far. Alabama is VERY VERY VERY lucky to be at the point its at after the probation. Oh..and Spul...2 years away from where Saban wants them to be. 2 years from having nearly ALL Saban recruits. Trust me...Bama is nowhere near as good as they will be in 2 to 3 years. They will be in the hunt for a national championship every single year. Oh and they already have the 7th ranked recruiting class in the nation for 2009. And only 15 kids have committed. Most every team ahead of them has a full class. It's scary. |
^yo where's OU rank in 2009 class? Bob stoops iunno wtf he does dude. Like a lot of his recruits, he don't get the big name dudes, he gets the hidden gems. Like Bradford. Last yr he came in and people said it'd be a QB struggle, and that'd be weakest pt. LOL dude comes in and beasts.
iunno if Murray was top recruit, but not too much talk about him except that he should be good in couple yrs. Comes in owning. Then this yr, this Ryan Broyles dude. word tho to OU and Bama being top teams next few yrs  i just hate Nick Saban lol. I don't like how he turned his back on teams. First LSU, then miami. Be careful son. If Bob Stoops retires after winning the next 5 titles, and OU calls him up, beware son |
Oh and word to Evan Longoria today. and wow, Tampa Bay's fans are WEAK. horrible.... fucking losers. Sucks, they got a good team. Florida just don't like baseball I guess. Even marlins, up to post season on their WS team ain't even have crowds.
like I mean i thought shit would be like Goldenstate year before last NBA playoff, or like Atlanta last yr. pshhh.... Go Sox |

Oklahoma is ranked 15th right now. They have 18 commitments. 0 5 stars, 5 4 stars, and 13 3 stars. Im not sure how many spots they have left..but they will probably move up a couple spots before its said and done because Auburn (who is ahead of them) has 26 commits and once other players start commiting they can only fall since theyre class is pretty much full. Also, Tennessee is 1 spot ahead of yall and their top QB commit just decommited from them...and the top 50 4 star WR recruit that was supposed to go there has basically changed his mind with all the booing going on in Neyland Stadium. Texas is ranked 5th right now. 1 5 star, 12 4 stars, and 6 3 stars. Just thought youd want to know that one as well. Texas is the only Big 12 school ahead of OU..and it looks like itll probably stay that way..sorry. Texas should finish in the top 5-7. Alabama is actually 9th. I thought they were 7th. But they have a 5 star commit. 6 4 stars, and 8 3 stars. Theyre projected to land all 4 and 5 stars for the remainder of their class. Including the top ranked DB in the nation..and possibly the top ranked Prep School player in the nation who is a 5 star O-lineman. the recruiting rankings really do give u a great glimpse of how teams stack up in the future. If you look at recruiting rankings for 3 and 4 years ago..its amazing how spot on it is. Oh, and just so you know. NEVER NEVER use ESPN as your recruiting source. They are by far the worst recruiting rankings. Go to Rivals or Scout. I recommend Rivals...they have a staff for every single college football team..a different site associated with rivals for every team..and their staff does nothing but travel and analyze high school players..its great. And USC and Ohio State will finish with the top 2 recruiting classes. Really, the both recruited their asses off this season...and are continuing it. |
yea, but OU few years back wasn't that good yo. I mean, it's like NFL draft. The top players who predicted to be ill aren't always the top performers. Like OU, I don't think they had top recruiting classes anytime recent. maybe like top 10, but i don't remember any top 3 or so...
but word I was pumped for OU's QB they got this yr, who redshirted. Landry Jones, but then Bradford stepped up. But w/e when bradford graduates he'll be a junior. so atleast two yrs. then we got Jamie Calhoun who is a fucking beast. I think he was top 5 in nation and #1 RB in nation if I'm not wrong? he'll be a beast too. Hopefully broyles stays strong. Because a lot of our WR's are seniors lol or juniors. |
Im not saying the recruiting analysis is always spot on 100 percent correct. But they are as close as you can get. Theyre right a whole lot more than theyre wrong.
And fool..OU finished with the 6th ranked recruiting class last year. 14th in 07. 9th in 06...and 3rd in 05. Thats an average of 8. Trust me..the recruiting rankings are damn good. and its Jermie Calhoun. He was the 2nd ranked RB and 19th ranked player in the nation. The Jones dude...the QB recruit was in the Rivals250..which is the top 250 players in the nation...and he was the 6th ranked pro style QB in the nation. Word @ Star Jackson (Bamas QB recruit)... being 5th in the pro style QB's. But uhhh...wtf @ Missouri getting the 5 star top ranked Pro style QB in the nation. Gay shit. But yea..OU has been around the top of the recruiting rankings for quite a few years now. |
damn son, missouri getting another top QB? pshh As long as they don't get another maclin lol
