I am trying to record, but it keeps recording with lag. I don't know if I should fuck with the buffers or, idk.

Any idea?

I'm recording that song you sent me right now and It keeps lagging and it's like 5 seconds off and starts late.

Shit Idk anything about that I use ACID...

yeah, it's my favorite because DirectX is so easily accessible on this shit.

it could just be your computer is slow and full, try another recording program if you have it may be able to find out if its the software or your computer.

negative, it has but a few programs on it.

It runs very smooth and quick and I just put a new sound card in this bitch.

Wait, what kind of lag are we talking about? Like you hit record and it takes 5 seconds before it actually starts? Or your recordings are 5 seconds off? Not sure what you mean exactly...

like when I press play it sounds like it's off by like 2-3 seconds.

I record it on my phone and it sounds fine,but it lags on the computer.

really sounds like its something in your harddrive, even a virus or some program that could be running without you knowing, even wireless internet and shit sometimes effects it, but what ever it is, messing with the buffers is only a temperary fix.

it should be to do with the buffer size....i think you need to increase it for smoother performance but it uses more CPU sooooo

make sure your comp is optimized for using recording software....you need to go into your control panel then go into system settings>advanced>performance>advanced then set your processor scheduling to background services

also you might wanna disconnect from internet...and once you've done that temporarily disable you anti virus software....(seriously, only do that if you've already previously scanned your comp and found nothing on there)

also it helps if you go into your display properties and set your windows and buttons to windows classic style
