who do yall think are the most overrated rappers right now.

I'd have to say
50 cent- he's nice at times, but really 50 aint all that nice on all of his songs. Its just something about the way he rhymes. All he has is tight hooks.

^How the fuck is Canibus overated? If anything he's underated. Canibus is dope as fuck but doesn't get the recognition in mainstream hip hop that he deserves. If you mean he doesn't deserve his underground reputation then i would have to disagree again.

Also, some of ya'll are getting overated mixed up with wack. Ja and Nelly aren't rated at all, nevermind overated.

I wouldn't agree that 50 cent is overrated. Maybe he's not as good lryrically as say, Nas, but he's rated as being at the top of the game, cos' of other things, like that crazy flow of his.

Jay-Z is a little overated, there should not have been comparisons between his and Nas' skill levels in the first place.
I think he belongs in the top 10, but not the top 5.

and aesop rock yea i have his CDs i listen to him i think he has some of the best lyrics but his tempo puts me to sleep, his beats are slow his voice is even slower he sound like he has downsyndrom "ooooooohhhhhhhhh mmmmmmmyyyyyyyy gggggggggooooooooooddddddddd they have angles sweating like hellettes" he needs some life, nice lyrics are good but if he a flicker of energy i would understand the hype but he puts me to sleep.

So chances are that your favorite rapper, is overrated unless you're like me and get into less popular rappers before you peep the icons of the time.
