lewis parker - class producer, one of the best in uk. not great mc though unfortunately. his last album was good though, due to the beats and guest appearences.

Cakes don't ever mention Garage. Its WHACK. Roots Manuva should have won best urban act instead of that no good bitch Ms Dynamite. Skitz is another good UK emcee. I live like down the road from Phi Life Cypher.

First off, i appreciate Roots Manuva's work as genius edging oin insanity (that's a good thing).

I even rate him as one of the top 3 hip-hop artists in the world (very hard to understand, that's why methinks he aint as successful as he could be...plus he doesn't sell out as easy..)...

But Ms Dynamite is talented. She's like the UK version of Lauryn Hill. Maybe she'll never be as talented as her, but she certianly has talent. Could see that when i saw her performing before at a couple of gigs here and there...

So she's a bit garage, but she's decent at it. and she fuses it with RnB and Hip-hop...makes it good even...(actually, add a bit of fast-paced ragga to that too)....

Roots Manuva should've won all awards coming with his first two albums. Including that Mercury thing. But Dub Come Save Me is like 13 tracks long, of tracks that he rejected for Run Come Save Me. Still brilliant, but not as good as his other albums. I think she won it deservedly overall. even thohgh i'd rather listen to Dub Come Save me than Ms Dynamite's album.

Roll Deep? Pay As You Go? get the fuck out of here with that bullshit. garage lyrics are the most basic, A B C bullshit i ever heard.

^^forget UK Hip-Hop, Roots Manuva in his own way, is as good as anyone in hip-hop period. Some don't even call it hip-hop it's such a brilliant fusion.

This may sound like i'm getting on the man's dick, but i don't usually give out so much respect for an artist. But this guy just kills it, in so many different ways. He's an even more esoteric and diverse artist than those who you'd call the same in US, it's a shame that people will probably not be able to appreciate his work as much as it should be...even thogh he's done stuff with Phaeroe Monch, Rza and Chali 2na...and is respected (if not seen as distant and hard to understand) in many parts of the underground...

Seriously, listen to his stuff, download if from Kazaa, or go to bigdada.com and get some samples of his stuff.
