The Story Of Paul Reynolds, The Aspiring Rapper...


Each day he'd sit writing,
rhyming on several subjects
Life got him down,
but promised success so he didnt get upset.
Instead he'd vent through words,
use them as a way out
battled local kids
to help get recognition in the underground
He wanted to get famous,
guested on various compilations
hoping to get noticed
and have his shit played on radio stations
He was an underground sensation,
dropping tracks bi-monthly
Overwhealmed when he finally
got a letter from a record company.
A local label wanted to sign him,
give him his first step into the buisness
This would be his oppourtunity
to silence a lot of critics
His lyrics always consistant,
with knowledge of the Backpackers Age
Gained acclaim in magazines
and featured on every front page
Paul knew before he signed
how shady the industry was
but before he knew it,
he'd become hooked in the world of drugs
Theres only so much a body can take
before it begins to decay
and over the months,
the cocaine had worn his stomach away.
Later that day,
Paul was found collapsed in his dressing room
Hie eyes bloodshot, body shaking -
died on the way to hospital.
Drugs are ruining the music industry,
so remember the story of Paul
who was At The Helm of his career,
had it in his grasp - and lost it all.
