How come it only take 5 votes to win? Ive been down five votes then came back to win back when I was a finalist here.

That's how the battle system works (check front lines). Keep in mind that the rules state 5 POLL votes, which are hard to come by. You might have 13 explained votes in your battle but only 2 poll votes. At the end I will count explained votes and edit the poll.

Not hatin but how is DJX in this when he's the fuckin prize lol. I mean hows he gonna win his own beat?? Shit, i wanna see him get second place then... so he gotta hand over the title, the cash, and a fuckin beat lol!

oh yeah... alldig, you need to set some more rules for the record. Like checkin in on time, postin ON TIME, and no votes from crew members. Plus we should have the peeps from investigative reports keepin tabs on the battles to keep shit fair. People cheat they asses off as it is wit no prize. Throw some money in the situation and itll only get worse. It would be so much better if we had official voters for this tho. people could volunteer and the voters could be randomly selected.

... just tryin to bring ideas to the table. I'd like to see a bomb ass tourny nahmean.

ie: tourney participants must vote on 2 battles..(any battle with less votes than others & provide links).only tourney participants can vote,cuz really,,good emceez know good music,,and allt he good heads from here will be in this tourney so it makes sense..noshowed in the past?you should be cut with chrome snips..must check in..no late entries..i dont get one thing here, alldig..you say sometimes people get 13 explained votes but only 2 poll votes..then your gunna count up explained votes and edit the poll???lol why?
why not just take explained votes and not use the poll?
editing explained votes and then adding poll votes seems shifty..

The only reason I use battle polls is to allow wins/losses to count on a user's battle record.

yea really.. maybe the comittee aint a good idea but the poll votes to 5 is gayer than hell.. Im tellin ya.. Make it so verses are due a certain day and voting ends 2 days later and at the end the person with the most votes wins.. as easy as that..

Only explained votes will count. I will do the same thing that I did in Audio Engagement in order to count wins/losses on battle records. At the end of 2 days of explained voting I will edit the poll to say 5-0 (the user with the most votes gets the 5).

how you generating the battle card? are you jus matching people up or using some type of program?

I have a script that randomizes the match ups for each round.

ok this is really important... tha thing is that.. im leavin on tuesday and commin back on friday... so if the tourney starts on tuesday when will be the due date be at?... cuz i can write lyrics somewhere tue thru friday... but i wouldnt be able to record... so if it starts on tuesday and due date is on friday, then can u tell me who im facin by monday?

You shouldn't have signed in if you knew you were leaving. That's your problem. If we start Tuesday the due date would be Friday.

aight, if we're doin it like the audio engagement with the explained votes then thats perfect. But we should atleast limit voting to the people in the tourny only. And definately NO CREW! I am seeing more and more crew voting on this site with the new voting system. And I do suggest that investigative reports starts a thread for this tourny. A link to the thread can be placed in the rules to report foul play. I think this is fair since only alldig will edit the polls. If IR gives word to alldig of suspicious activity BEFORE votes are polled by him, then he can decide how to deal with the battle as he sees fit. All this will help get ride of dick ryders and haters. people will be more reluctant to pm their friends and have the same 5 voters poll for them every single battle (this happens a lot in text).

... on another note, I don't see why a voting comittee would be a bad idea. Why would anyone care that they cant choose who votes on their battles? hmm... thats kinda shady... but anyway, if there was a comittee, we could take a couple voters from each established crew and a couple non-affiliated voters... almost like a UN. I don't see why that's such a horrible idea. And it would only take a few days to form the voting comittee. This would be the easiest way to rule out all voting problems... infact its probably the only way. Let's hear some more feedback on this stuff... im only one person so I can only have one point of view...

yea i think spliviticus made a good point about the voting it is a good idea to have a voting commitee that way that stops all the dickriding and hate votes that happens so often i know im new 2 the site and my opinion probally dont matter but the other sites i been 2 they aproach the tourneys the same way wit a voting commitee and it worked out so just think about it

WTF@This Voting System.Im confused as fuck.

Basically every battle will have a battle poll (identical to those seen in front lines). But poll votes do not count until the end of explained voting. At the end of voting the person with the most explained votes (by tourney participants and mods) wins. I will then edit the battle poll to say (5-0) so battle records can be officially changed. If you don't understand battle polls look at the new battle system rules in the front lines forum.
