which label?
which label do you guys think is the future of rap? i gotta say its either shady/aftermath, roc-a-fella, or def jam...
whats ur opinion? |
Shady/Aftermath
Def Jam Roc-a-Fella |
R U 2 as STUPID as u must look?.....Roc-O-Fella's Os Under Def JAm How Can You Compaire Them.....pff herbs
|
LMAO @^^^, naa ROC is definately above def jam, well maybe not after they lost beanie, but they got most of tha best rappers, and shady/aftermath run it now and will in tha future.
~1~ |
The question was Future, Shady and Roc are now..
And to tell ya the truth I dont know whose next |
Shady's because it's Eminem. And chicks dig Eminem.
And then there is Epitath. It's a punk band label, but it has Atmosphere in it, and if I remember right, Sage Francis as well. And then there is that one label that has yet to exist that will be oh so popular with the populus. Of course. |
i actually meant near future, and i doubt shady/aftermath will fall off soon... maybe in a few years, and IF xzibit is still comin to the label thats gonna be tight.... just cause i compare roc-a-fella to def jam doesnt mean im stupid... it means im smart enough to have an opinion without runnin around callin other ppl idiots...
as for the shady roster, its quite good, if they kicked bizarre out of d12 and replaced 50 cent as the leader of g-unit with lloyd banks, it would be better... |
Quote:
no def jam owns ROC, as in ROC is a part of def jam but the future will be a lable like def jux where one peorson like aesop will become a big name and bring up the rest of the lable |
Rocafella is takin over,Shady is takin over and def jam's re-lightin the flame:
Diplomats are sick as fuck and Juelz Sanatana is ill And the other two labels are self explanitory |
murder inc....lol
PLAYED THREAD |
i dont no bout ya'll...but i really like shady/aftermath
eminem is sooo ill...damn... |
yea Eminem spit ill shit.and wit Obie 50 him D12 and dem. they takin ova.Shady
CTF(represent) |
whya re most of the ppl in this thread newbs that say shady aftermath????
wtf shady is now and they are startin to fall off, unless obie and em's next albums do extremely well i think the next label to go big will be Def Jam South, thats just my opinion....with the likes of Ludacris, Haystak, Chingy (i hate him but he sells), and DTP they are likely to strike gold....while ludas new album is almost certain to be a hit.......once again thats just my opinion....and i know this sounds crazy...but i have this feeling that bad boy is gon find some one hit wonder (50 cent style) and possibly gain control.....just a weird feeling i have....anyway just my opinions.......s and all these newbs need to get off shady/aftermath's dicks damnit...i think their turn on the merry-go-round has almost come to a halt |
Def Jam or the ROC...both labels have talented artists...but i think the ROC will be more succesfull in the future

I personally don't like Eminem or any of his accociates with the exception of Bizare. But the fact is Eminem is here to stay and so is his label. Obie's album, and Em's next album will do well. White bitches have that power. Personally, I would prefer them to go back to their cozy trailer park homes, but it aint gon' happen. Know what I'm saying? I don't like this scheiße any more than you. But that's just the way it is. *shrugs* |
def jam has been around forever just about and they continue to spread out and touch different aspects of hip hop...shady/aftermath is hot RIGHT NOW but they have only been here for a second...you can't really judge right now there are so many different variable and the public is really fickle...what is hot this year will be played out and laughed at next year...think about it not to long ago the two "future" dynasties were bad boy and death row..what have they done lately..and don't forget the surge of cash money and no limit for a little while both those labels were considered hot...why don't we just wait and see
|
ummm... no offense.... "i hate eminem and all of shady with the exception of bizarre".... thats one of the weirdest comments ive heard in my life. with the possible exception of afroman and nelly, bizarre is the worst rapper i have ever heard in my life.
and wanting eminem to go back to the trailer cos hes white is a racist comment, and ignorant motherfuckers lyk u deserve to be shot. |
I totally agree, Bizare is a horrible rapper.
But it's like Commodore64, so bad it's good. That and he makes me feel comfortable when he raps about sick sexual perversions like raping his grandmother. |
^ haha hahah hahah... maybe u two should collaborate
|
Definitive Jux is running shit right now.
El-P Aesop Rock Mr. Lif Cannibal Ox Murs C-Rayz Walz S.A. Smash Rjd2 Despite what you may think from watching MTV, Definitive Jux has had non-stop releases all year long. Anticon is starting to have an influx of releases as well. Rhymesayers is doing well too, with Brother Ali's release, Atmosphere's release, and Eyedea is releasing soon. But Definitive Jux is running shit right now, and will continue to in the future. |
|
Shady/ Aftermath is fallin off. I think that the future is Def Jam, Roc-A-Fella n Bloodline cuz they have some talented artists on there. If Eminem is the future of rap then I'd shoot maself
|
Whose been doing shit since the fuckin 80's.............
Def jam you stupid shit. Aftermath may still be their too. Fuck Cockafella. |
shady records is dat shit
|
shady/aftermath records is prolly gonna be on top for awhile...eminem's name can sell so i dont see them falling off anytime soon...obie and d12 are nice, 50's the rapper of the moment, and like i said eminem's name sells......but the label i'm feeling the most right now is EC...copywrite, cage, tame one, weathermen, high and mighty...all hot....but i dont know if they'll ever be big....
|
Bloodline, DMX has a lot of pull in the industry since he knows so many peeps and since he owns bloodline and signed sum half assed artist i think iss bout to blow up
|
i rekn rap from the late 80's and early to mid 90's was the best... most of the shit these days isnt that good... in fact, the only rappers that became big in the late 90's or early 2000's are DMX, Eminem, and Xzibit... most of the others aint that good (altho there are a few, lyk proof from d12.. i hope royce da 5'9 goes big)
|
i meant to say : "in fact, the only rappers that became big THAT I LIKE in the late 90's or early 2000's are DMX, Eminem, and Xzibit... "
|
Shady/Aftermath...Def Jam...Rap A Lot...
