which rappers have changed the most throughout the course of their careers?

I rekn NAS and eminem changed heaps.... eminem went from a man who raps about serious things in a funny way, to a man who really is serious, to a gangsta.... weird

NAS was a true lyricist at first with illmatic but then got lured into the mainstream...

what do you guys think?

First off I reckon eminem is one of the most talented people around and he can't do no wrong when it comes to music. And as for Nas no matter what he goes on about it's gonna sound good. It's up to them what they rap bout as long as they're tellin the truth unlike ja rule. He seems to think he can take on 50 cent and eminem.

Em went from sick to not so sick. He has improved but he's not as sick as he used to be. I liked him better when he was sick.

I prefer him how he is now. I think what he says is more truthful. The eminem show is so truthful. He really opens up bout his feelins

when i say changed, i dont necessarily mean for the worst... i lyk eminem better now than he used to be too, cos his lyrics and content is better, but compare his personality in the Slim Shady LP and nowadays eg. go to sleep f/ obie trice, DMX.... hes a full out gangsta here, somethin no one ever expected i bet...

yeah, eminem changed alot, i think...... his song dont have as many disses as they used to, well thats what i think anyways

yeh, he used to diss ppl in regular songs now he puts out "diss-only tracks"... but his lyrics have progressed, no doubt... just hearing him shouting "die motherfuckin fake ass gangstas, die you motherfuckers, die nameless!" is disturbing when only 4 years ago he was saying he rapes ppls mothers

Eminem has changed, he was funny but now he just serious and shouting how he'll kill kim............but in addition, his diss records are ill and that's what he'll be remembered for..............

Everybody is forced to change. Half the Lawsuits filed against Eminem, were from The MMLP. Would You make an album like that again? No. And Every rapper changes. Even ya change too. Ya started out whack and then elevated. In some ways its just trying to adapt to the charts. Who knows how it'll come out.

he probaly juss collab'd wit her so he could tap dat ass....i know i would.....redman still got it.....his new stuff definatly isnt better than albums such as "Dare Iz A Darkside" and "Muddy Waters" but he's still got the flow, punch lines, cleverness and definatly the wordplay

im agree wit pretty much everyone in here, eminem and nas have definetely changed the most. em was rappin about some of the sickest stuff, now hes turned gangsta(which isnt necessarily a bad change), nas on the other hand, definetely has been through alot of change, but no matter how he changes hes still ill as fuck.

and as far as the ja rule shit goes, he came out a bunch of bullshit piled in human form, and guess what nothin has changed. hes still wack as fuck and nothin he does is gonna change that, we'd all be better if he just drove his car off of a cliff, cause hes gonna get killed anyway when 50 shoots him.
