True hip-hop is hip-hop in any form....but my preference is up north. Yall down south cats just aiighnt interesting me at all....yall beats in the clubs be hot but to actually buy and then bump a cd by a southern cat i cant do. The only down south shit ide bump is 3 6 mafia.....otha than that yall is weak to me lyrically 4real. 1

North is better, the lyrics of New York, Dtroit and anywhere else up there is much better than down south

i dont like alot of the south hip hop....alot of it just seems to sound the same...alot of those cats seem to come weak lyrically....not all but alot of em...

I'm pretty sure that any northern artist would beat any southern artist lyricly. I can't stand southern rap (with the exception of maybe luda) But Lil' John for example, his lyrics consist of him yelling "YEAAAHHH...!!!" or "IF YOU DONT GIVE A DAMN THEN DONT THROW IT UP" about 30 times, they hook it to a beat, and POOF they got a song... not entertaining to me at all.

South is more fo fun and clubs
North is more lyrical

if its a battle for lyrics = NORTH WINS
if its a battle on seeing who can rock da clubs more = SOUTH WINS

But what sells better? Northern... south does make some dope club hits, but club joints get annoying like after the 3rd time ou hear them!

Im sorry, I dont classify Yelling into the Mic, Hip-Hop, and thats all the "Dirty-South" Does... There are a select few who actually have talent..But the Ying Yang twinz and David Banner..etc..All are garbage...
