Do you think Eminem beat Juice in the 97' Olympics

I think it was pretty close. But a lot of Em's shit was recycled from other songs.

Kost 10-20-03 06:59 PM

ive neva heard it - but i always wanted to...

who won it?

kgm 10-20-03 07:01 PM

Super Cool Guy 10-20-03 07:21 PM

Eminem's verse was so pre-written....

Juice had some off the top stuff

Eminem choked...

Juice didn't

Winner = Juice

i love em but it was a tight battle i wouldnt like to say who really won but em did in ma opinion...........he took lines from his battle to put to his songs.......like ma name is etc.......it wasnt the other way round coz they werent created yet....he took one line outta "who the fuk passed you the mic....." from his very 1st album.......it was at the rap olympics so jus type it in kazaa kost............pz

*Y_nOt* 10-20-03 09:01 PM

Yea this was def a tiight as battle. I aiighnt heard it in a long azz time but both Juice and Em killed it. In my opinion i always thought Juice won cuz like everyone said Em was good but he recylced his rhymes from other songs so idk........either way it was a good fuckin battle

cyrus 10-20-03 09:01 PM

u have too agree it was close but juice was the better rapper on the day

Thats so stupid. Take rhymes from a VERY POPULAR freestyle battle you were in, and put them in your songs? Shows a lack of creativity in my opinion.. why not just write all new creative shit for your albums? blah..

Concise 10-21-03 12:39 AM

Did Infinite come out before 97? I think so...

" You couldnt make your fans throw up their hands if they swallowed they fingers "

Thats from 313 on the album... soooooo recycled....

"You wouldnt sell two copies if you pressed a double album"

On his track with high and mighty, called flyest material...

blah

wogzta 10-21-03 05:34 AM

^ isnt that from just dont give a fuck (the second line u posted)... i might be wrong, but if so, then he didnt recycle that cos it was first recorded on the Slim Shady EP ('98).... but i do feel he recycled lots of crap on there.. and that sucks

fo'trill 10-21-03 09:07 AM

em choked, i thought he battled wack as hell, juice definetely took and infinite came out in '96 so yeah he spit a pre written.

Mystery~murdera 10-21-03 01:00 PM

no it doesnt show a lack of creativity. Damn stop bein so short-sighted. Alota artist freestyle a song first anyway, then go back and alter it to make the real track.
AND...
how many mainstream hip-hop listeners had heard those lines? not many so to those kats, that ish was somethin unheard b4.

Da_Legend 10-21-03 02:49 PM

good battle but i dunno, pre-written? nah more likely em took lines from the battle and used it in his songs, the battle was a long ass time ago

it was a tight battle tho

now that i think about it, your prolly right. I had it mixed up with a line eons used in that song "You couldnt get on my album if you was shrink wrap"....

still.. we're on the same page... lol

The battle was very popular, and the majority of hiphop listeners heard it or heard of it. I am well aware that emcees sometimes freestyle and then later on use a line from it in a verse... but if I were to freestyle battle say Jin right now.. on BET.. and then use some punches from it next year on my album.. that would be gay.

Content 10-21-03 05:05 PM

you couldnt sell tow copies if you pushed a double album*
Eminem - Just Dont Give A Fuck

The High And Mighty - The Last Hit / Flyest Material
did not have that line......

Juice won the battle....

He said his...

"Speed racer..ninty sever burgandy blazer..
wanted for burgulary..had to ditch the mercury tracer..
on some loc shit..fed up with this being broke shit...
not to joke with..bitch I dont sell crack I smoke it...
Spectacular battle rap manufacturer..sold your moms
Acura wrecked it and sold it back to her"

he said this rhyme and the rest of it on the wake up show
and a million other things...but halfway through slim shady lp
and most or marshall mathers he was doing interviews after popping four ecstacy pills...you might forget what you actually said while your rolling like that over and over again when its
to the point that days dont matter and get lost :whacky:

AbOmInAtIoN 10-21-03 08:13 PM

i heard some of ems old stuff and i think hes way more better right now then back then....i think juice took it right off the back

wogzta 10-22-03 06:18 AM

^ actually, he had better lyrics back then... but his subject matter and beats are much better now and more interesting... plus he tried to bite nas in infinite

RavenousButcher 10-23-03 12:17 AM

close battle, i think juice won though.
i love em , but he lost
