Black Album Thoughts?
By now most of you have either bootlegged or bought the album, what did you think?
|
It sucked.
|
Honestly? I thought it was decent, Change Clothes and Go was pretty ehhhh but the rest are pretty nice, easy listeniung shit with just nice beats and cool flow, his delivery is sick.
|
Bought it...Fuck Bootleggers
Yea i gotta agree i really liked the album a good album to go out on.. Its dope, put it on listened all the way thro easily no quarrel's from me....... Go get it...pZ. |
Listening to it right now actually.
Jay-Z's still quotable as hell. |
The Whole CD is ill............Jay-Z did a great ending to his career
|
Like the all and wonderful Quote from Nas " FUCK JAY-Z " The shit was wack, I use to like him like 5 years ago. But now he is just a week old man, that waisted his money on a CD. Keep with the clothes I say, and shut the fuck up. Hese week, Those are my thoughts.
OUT -High Class a.k.a Confusion |
He Did It But Wasn't The Best But He Sure Was Nice Made ME Cry Track 2 lol
|
I think Change Clothes is an Excuse Me miss pt.2(La La La doesn't count, cuz it was dope) Listening to it, you get a feeling that you only got on The Blueprint and Reasonable Doubt. Change Clothes is as pop as the cd gets. Neptunes even put out a dope beat on "Allure". Jay-Z is going out with a bang, this cd is somewhat something that Mainstream needed. I'm expecting this cd to win a grammy for the fact that he's leaving, but if he wasn't I still would expect it to win because it is good.
I still can't get a list on best to worst, most of the songs are on the same page. Expect alot of bragging, but not as much bling bling shit. |
its tight..
came ill as i expected nice way to go out still hard to top reasonable...vol 1.. and blueprint but it will get much play for a while |
Camareezy be's Smokin` That la La La. .
Classic. |
Jay is quite braggadocious... and he has reason to be.
-5 mics(2wice) -8 summers(held rap in check) -20 million plus sold(worldwide) -$$$$ from ROC DA MIC tour ....What more can I say! |
I Bought It...Fucka Bootlegger!
The Whole Album Is Dope...Every Song Is Awesome, With The Exception Of Change Clothes... Dope Producers+Dope Lyrics=5 Mics Tight CD, Close To "Reasonable Doubt" And "The Blueprint"... |
ehhh...
|
it still cant come close to reasonable doubt
|
or Pain is Love for that matter.
|
^Lmfao
Anywho... I don't judge albums on previous work. Because rappers do change, and you can't llive with trying to get another reasonable doubt, because if they give you another one, chances are your not going to like it, because it is too similiar, and it probably isn't on the level of the original. It's better to judge it as a fresh album. |
^ agreed.... but i still gotta say blueprint and RD are better..... although this cd is dope.... only one bad song "change clothes and go"... fuck pharrel
the production is tight..... he spits some dope lines.... great cd all round.... it hasnt come out in australia yet, so i havent seen the credits... did the dr. dre cut make the final version? |
^Eminem laced the bea for track 8
"Moment of Clarity"but it sounds like a beat from Dr. Dre This cd is....... Considered Classic.... 99 Problems is banannas.... his interlude after that song should be longer.... "lemme introduce myself my name is hov" the second half of the cd is much better than the first... but its definately a good listen though cd for your changer...3 to 14 "8 / 10" hes held it down for a long fucking time like he said in XXL...niggas dont even compare me to other peoples cd... they just say its like blueprint or reasonable doubt P.S......Ashanti can eat a dick for taking Jiggas Can I Live beat from Reasonable Doubt Ill give her a golden shower |
i still think jay-z is wack....album is below standards....
i definitly dont recommend it to a true underground hip hop head... |
jay-z is a mainstream artist stupid^
|
sure .
|
jay-z is a mainstream artist stupid^......<<<
so whats that s'pposed to mean dumb fuck? they all the same 50 cent mystical elton john...jay-z |
If you dont like this album you either a big Nas fan(nas KILLED jay) or simply a hater. I'm a Nas fan but unlike these closeminded fools on here I call em how I hear em.
THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN KEEP YOU FROM ENJOYING THIS ALBUM EXCEPT FOR CHANGE CLOTHES AND HATE. rather have hov hold down the mainstream than any of these other jacks(g-unit, chingy, nelly, all that other shit) |
Meh...
It was aight... Not all THAT impressed with it... Moment of Clarity was nice... I'm somewhat feeling Justify my Thug as well.... |
the only two widely commercial hip hop artists that are any good are jay z and eminem... some are lesser known in mainstream like nas, obie, xzibit etc... but all the other huge artists in mainstream suck... eg. 50 cent, nelly, chingy........
nas is my fav rapper but i still like jiggas work... he always has a few good cuts per album and RD, blueprint and the black album are near classics in my opinion... so fuck all the haters, you dont need to be an underground artists to be good... although most times underground artists usually are more skilled, it doesnt mean ALL mainstream rappers suck |
if you think this album is wack.. chances are.. your taste in quality hip hop is wack.
i listened to the whole album (fuck a Bootlegger)... while playing true crime on the X Box..on repeat for like 3 sessions..... and i might say Jay-z is pretty ill. might have some classics in there. |
I actually thought it was dope, Encore, What More Can I say, PSA, Lucifer, Dirt on your shoulders, my 1st song, december 4th were all dope, 1luv.
|
^ you forgot moment of clarity... that song is dope
|

I Really Like That Song... Other Notable Tracks... -Encore -December 4th -What More Can I Say -Moment Of Clarity -Threats -My First Song |

I suppose I'm a "true underground hip hop head". I listen to Tonedeff, eF@mm, well the Qn5 roster basically, Brother Ali, Sage Francis, Atmosphere, Eyedea, Sole, C-Rayz Walz, Rise, Cunninlynguists, Vakill, Living Legends, the pedestrians, just to name a few. And then we get even more underground, lol, N-Demik and Messiah Kaeto among others off the net. And I liked this album. |
^ True. I listen to those artists listed by Bruk .. Living legends are exceptional and I like this album too, only track i wasnt feeling kinda grew on me the more i replayed it.
