Important Decision
 

Here is the scenario:

You just made it and got signed to a major label. You already have an albums worth of songs, and you were told that they would be the songs on the album. Then the executives or whatever tell you that 5 tracks will be cut, and replaced with a song relating to bling bling, chilling in the club, hoes and ass clapping, a ja-rule like love song, and a song with two very weak sell out lyricist. What would you do?

Most catz would say they would leave the label... and i would say that too...

But the lure of money and being famous IMO would be too much..what makes you think that you are stronger than the people who have already 'sold out'.....

Fuck it, leave and put out a dope Ep...get signed again..l0l

It's complicated.

You can either go with the executives until you make it properly and when you have more input into your albums you do what you want.


OR

You can leave and pray that another opportunity comes along.
It's your choice but think carefully

I'd stay.. Only reason is because eventually they'll give you more say on your albums so you can do it ho wyou want it.. See how Eminem did ? He didn't really do it how the label wanted him to but now you see, he can do just about anything with his music..

I'd sign up, then once my first album goes 10x Platinum fuck em off and start my own label......

stay because as soon as you got the first money deal you'll then be able to demand wot you want!!! wot you feels right etc

see heres what id do.......give the execs a version of the album with those gay songs on it.....but make sure a different version is printed and sold...causiong controversy.....getting the album takin off shelves.....getting dropped...thus getting signed to a new major b/c id be famous for controversy.....word

yea but doesnt mean i cant pay the person who sends the final copy out to be printed off...b/c the execs ok the final copy....then send it to the guy that sends it to the printers

not sure as to what i would do...i would probably put the original songs on it in a prerealease or post realease or as hidden songs

Do what the execs want for this album.....maybe add a few bonus tracks which YOU choose. On your second album make sure you have more input on it. Besides you can show your real personality in interviews and shit by sayin the songs bout clubs, money and girls was just to add a variation of songs on the album
