This guys been writing excellent stuff for a while now. Has the sort of pen that'll most probably get him published at a very high level.

This piece is beautifully yet subtely crafted. It may seem a bit 'lovey dovey'. But it's more than that. It goes about it's 'aim' in a very broad and in depth way. Yet has a kind of subtelty to it.

It takes some getting into maybe. But that's part of what the piece is.

I liked it a lot. but i dont think it was legendary quite.

I actually really enjoyed this.
I say In, just because it is difficult to say that much with so few words.

Would you mind explaining why, feeble?

(Actually, this is probably what should be done with most pieces going into legends. Two or more people making arguments for and against. Not necessarily lengthy though. But nonetheless substantial enough to highlight the points.).

Yeah, it was quite a cool poetry piece actually, made for a nice read.

my argument - it was a good piece, and yes it did say a lot in few words. but. . if you look in open mic, which i bet you do, there are heads like cam and sureal putting up pieces like that routinely. legends is for the pieces above and beyond right? again, dont get me wrong. . it was a quick and enjoyable read i just think for those reasons that it wasn't legends worthy. but my vote isnt the only one obviously. get some more votes, i really have no problem with it being in. personally i dont think it deserved in though.

true. . but what do you consider poetry? i consider it the same as cams open mics, except tpoetry doesnt have to rhyme. . well, to be fair cams open mics never rhyme anyway. . :( . . i just dropped my opinion. which is that it was a great piece, but not legendary. shit.. no wonder i suck at poetry :( . . im only one vote anyway. 3 other heads thought it was in worthy. . just put it in already!!!!!!!

^All open mic is poetry. Yet not all poetry would be accepted as open mic on RB (going by the definitions).

I haven't seen Cam do anything like this on a regular basis. Well i aint seen him do anything like this at all (though that aint the point). If you could point it out, i'll be happy to digress.

There's subtelties which you seem to be missing. It isn't so much it being a blistering masterpiece of sorts. But it's normality amid a certain surreality, grounded in one's own emotions, yet not.

Comparing it to others in the section. I think it'll also bring some variation.

i just started reading and replying to all the poems in there. i see what you mean perfectly now. even the newbies to poems in there usually have great emotion.. your forum won itself a fan.

I thought that evolves piece was a great thought and very true with society now days..Should it be in legends?...i dont believe so..only because it could have been written with more depth.. I think evolve even said it shouldnt...ohh well...

And yeah, some of the 'newbies' do come straight into it with so much. But that's probably cos poetry is more 'free' than open mic (yes, i used to do open mic and rap, so it's not based on ignorance). And it's also in a way, simpler and easier to grasp.

Open mic can at times be a more complex 'branch' of poetry. Depending on which way you look at it. And of course, you learn a bit about how to write poetry n what not at school (i think). Whilst 'open mic' isn't.

Though once again, both can go hand in hand too.

i think all of them take practice. poetry more so to show your emotion, and come with a topic people will relate to.

^Depends on your perspective i guess. But overall you can drown much more easily in open mic (rap in general) than you can in poetry.

Though, like you said, it is just as hard to write a piece of poetry than a piece of open mic too. But that's much more the case at 'higher' level. And much less so on the lower levels.

But that also depends on bluntness and brutality on circle of people reading your pieces.

It's all good though. Especially as we're straying further and further away from Twizzle's actual piece (well, kind of anyway..)..
