Says the Results of Last Week's Poll
I wasn't sure what to think when I was putting together last week's poll. On the one hand, it's a fairly common sentiment in hip-hop circles that a lot of southern rap sucks balls. But as the Bun B incident proved, it's also true that southern rap has no shortage of defenders on the Internet.

So the South ended up winning, er, losing. Actually, I was surprised that hispanics got as many votes as they did. I can only take this to mean that people are beginning to bend to my point of view when it comes to illegal immigration and also reggaeton, both of which have been a scourge on the black community.

I dont think it is, personally its great party music, maybe not Hip- Hop worthy but definately rap wise its better than most things i listen to now. I would definately prolly pop in a Don Omar then a DFB cd anyday.

Now bout the whole south thing...man... why do people gotta say that i mean just cuz we gettin some light? Sure alot of people dont like the Snap Music/Crunk Music stuff but its not ruining anything. It's just giving another outlet. IMO it's all hip hop, whether its Crunk or Lyrical, Snap Or Some West Coast Stuff, it all spawned from the same culture...

The South could be running it as of now, but I'm tryna tell you folks, watch out for tha bay. That hyphy movement is just a small part of it. I know they aint really too lyrical with tha hyphy movement, but Northern Cali/Bay Area boutta put a dent in tha game!
