If they don't get one of the 400,000 launch units, why not wait a week or two for more stock to come in instead of paying $10,000 on ebay.

those people pay a few htousand are a lot more likely. some people just don't liekto wait - not realizing they'll have to wait for it to come in the mail anyway

I waited until 2 weeks ago to get me a PS2 for $15. Most of what you can do on an PS3, you can perform better on a computer anyway.

Just found an article on it. They say that it costed around 800 to build the 60g boy. But they say that they want to make the loss up on video games. That seems kinda crazy.....

At the 360's launch, even though they sold every unit, microsoft still had not made a profit in regard to what they spent developing the 360... Its common for that to happen, same with PSP, PS2, Xbox... They rely on the games and positive unit sales (units sold after they have made more than they spent developing the console) for profits.

The Wii will have nintendo making profit at launch though... Even if it is the least expensive of all of them. Nintendo are hella smart -_-.
