nope its either get the verse down or don't do it at all. Because you can't necessarily punch-in preforming it live

I think in 4 years of rapping, after about 200 songs, I've punched in twice...

Thats how i see it too....i be hearing these underground artist that ppl say are soo dope but all you hear is punch ins im like wtf? lol

^^Yea...which is why I get mad when people don't realize I flow stuff in one take...but it sounds like I punched in

Im like "If only u knew how many takes I had to do to get this right"

THERE ARE some verses I literally rap 50 times before I get it right.

yup, i punch in, on average probably about 2-4 times per verse.


why? because you end up with a more polished and professional sounding track. and it saves studio time. why re-record 16 bars when i only need to adress 2 words?

i could sit here and list a thousand reasons why you should punch in, and yes, i punch in.

i punch in maybe twice in a verse.... maybe..... usually try to get it in one take

I punch in maybe 2 to 3 times a verse...

puch ins are cool if yopur working on studiop quality song u can always learn the song live it sounds diff enuff as is no one gonna notice whether opr not you do or dont .....

i punch in when necessary like when it sounds better to hold out a word...i usually dont do it cuz im not that good at matching the quality...yep...

i punch in either after every 4 bars or 8 bars, why? because it sounds better...more professional. just because you punch in doesnt mean your not able to perform it live also

when you perform live you can get away with more screw ups.

not saying you should be off but it already sounds different, not like they gonna notice unless your screwing up repeatedly..
